And I have to say, increasingly you’ve got to be impressed by Brighton and Hove Albion. I get to their matches when possible. Favourite film: Impossible question. The King’s Speech was the last I went to see. Stand-out films are always associated with particular times of your life. So Kes, for example, and Jean de Florette a bit later. And more recently, Cave of Forgotten Dreams. Favourite holiday destination: It’s always wherever I went last! Currently reading: A brilliant book called The Team of Rivals, about Abraham Lincoln’s cabinet and how he pulled together disparate characters and disparate forces to unite a nation. A revelation in terms of leadership. I’m also reading a book called Testify, about what effect architecture and design has had on people’s lives. Worst habit: Trying to cram too much in. Favourite restaurant: A favourite haunt is Orso in Covent Garden. And in Brighton, one called Seven Dials, and another called Blenio – nice, good, neighbourhood restaurants.
