A. GENERAL TRIAL INFORMATION
OBSTACLES: The following obstacles will be used at this trial: NADAC-approved rubber matted dog walk & A-frame,
open tunnels, 24” weave poles, wingless jumps, hoops.
TENTATIVE SHOW SCHEDULE: Trial site will be available for set-up on Friday after 4PM. Bring shade, water, and
chairs. Port-a-potties on-site. Tents and kennels may be left at the trial site overnight at the owner’s discretion.
Registration, measuring, and walk-throughs. Saturday & Sunday 7:15AM each day.
Judge’s briefing. Saturday & Sunday 8AM each day.
Scheduled run order will be sent in your confirmation letters. Note: all schedule info is tentative and subject to change by
the trial committee and judge. PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND THE JUDGES BRIEFING TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE
AWARE OF THE ACTUAL RUN ORDER.
In jumping classes, dogs will run by jump height. In non-jumping classes, dogs will run in roughly alphabetical order.
Handlers with multiple dogs will be separated if possible.
AWARDS: Placement ribbons will be awarded to first through fourth places in each jump height for each class, in each
category, except Chances which is a pass/fail class. A purple qualifying rosette shall be given for each qualifying round in
each class. Special ribbons will be awarded for new titles and Versatility, Superior Versatility, All-Around, Triple
Superior, NATCH & Versatility-NATCH awards. Please let the Trial Secretary know in advance if you might earn a
special title or award at our trial!
MOVE UPS: Day-to-day move-ups will be allowed. Please see the Trial Secretary immediately after the final run on
Saturday to move-up.
VENDORS: There will be no food vendor at the show, so please bring your own. We will once again have a Saturday
evening Yappy Hour; check your confirmation letter for more information. Linda Anderson & Mark Vandenwauver will
be the show photographers. Please contact the Trial Secretary if you are interested in being a vendor at this show.
WORKERS: We will be using the sign-up board at the trial so please help out. Volunteers will be provided snacks
and drinks. For each class you work, you will get to draw a discount on entries to our future trials.
B. TRIAL ENTRY
There is no opening date for this trial. Entries will be accepted on a first-received basis. Trial entry closes at 5PM
November 1, 2011 or when filled. Please use the attached form to enter; include a separate form for each dog. The trial
will be held under the current rules and regulations of NADAC.
Once your entry is received and entered in our Agility Unscrambled trial software, you will receive an email confirmation.
Please check your confirmations carefully! Accepted entries may be changed without charge prior to the closing date
by emailing the Trial Secretary at [email protected]. Please include dog’s name, NADAC #, classes entered and
changes being made. Final confirmations will be sent after the closing date. Each change made after the closing date will
be subject to a $5 fee.
We will be co-hosting NADAC Extreme Games Challenge on Friday, November 4. Entries to EGC must be
submitted via the NADAC web site (http://www.nadac.com/nadac_premiums.htm) Do not send your EGC entries
to Tails Up Agility.
ENTRY FEES AND PACKAGE RATES
Per Owner Pricing! Entry is based on the total # of runs the owner enters
1-9 Runs: $11 per Run
10-15 Runs: $10 per Run
16-24 Runs: $9 per Run
Junior handler: $6 per Run
25+ Runs: $8 per run
Day of show (DOS) entries accepted provided the trial has not filled. DOS entries will be taken up to the start of the
judge’s briefing each day and are $15 per run with no package deals. Please contact the Trial Secretary a few days to prior
to the trial to find out if the trial has filled.
A team must select either Proficient or Skilled Category for the ENTIRE weekend.
NON-JUMPING CLASSES—VETERAN OR DISABLED HANDLER. Handlers who are 60 years or older, or who have a
disability that restricts mobility, may choose to enter the non-jumping classes as a Veteran Handler and receive 10% more
standard course time. This option is for Veteran/Disabled handlers in the non-jumping classes only.
The Veteran/Disabled Handler division is designed for handlers who, due to age or impairment, are mobility limited and
need extra time to guide their canine partners through an agility course.
When entering as a Veteran/Disabled Handler, you must enter all dogs in all classes for the entire trial in this Division and
must jump 4” lower than your Proficient, Standard Division jump height. In the non-jumping classes, dogs will be scored
and placed with their Standard Division jump height.
MEASURING: Skilled dogs, dogs with permanent height cards, dogs jumping 16" in the Veteran or Junior Handlers
Divisions, or dogs jumping 20/20+ do not need to be measured.
C. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS
Below is a brief summary of NADAC rules. Please refer to www.nadac.com for a full explanation of all NADAC rules
and up-to-date information.








Please note that NADAC trials should provide a safe and fun environment for both exhibitors and their dogs.
Aggressive dogs will not be tolerated and will be excused from the trial.
The show committee has the right to refuse any entry. Anyone not currently in good standing with NADAC will
not be allowed to enter this trial.
Exhibitors, through submission of entry, acknowledge that they are knowledgeable of NADAC rules and
regulations, and agree to abide by all rules in effect at the time of this trial.
No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reasons of riots, civil disturbances, fire,
acts of God, public emergency, an act of public enemy, or any other cause beyind the control of the organizing
committee.
Checks not honored by the bank do not constitute a valid entry fee. There will be a $25 service charge for bank
returned checks.
Dogs must be registered and have a valid registration number before entries will be accepted.

TUAC will not be responsible for the loss or damage to any dog exhibited, or for the possessions of any exhibitor whether
the result was by accident or any other cause. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this event is in the care and
custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. Any exhibitor whose
dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the
discretion of the Trial Committee be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of fees paid will be made.
IMPORTANT. Please check your dog's NADAC registration number on your trial confirmation as soon as you receive it; also,
please check the copy of the results posted at the trial. You should report any errors to the Trial Secretary immediately.
NADAC records trial results as they are submitted by the host clubs/groups. The individual trial results submitted by the club are
uploaded to the files section of the [email protected] list within two weeks after the NADAC office receives them
from the club. The trial results will remain on the list for at least thirty (30) days. Please accept the responsibility to review those
results, and check that your registration number and qualifying points, as reported by the club, are correct. You can join the
[email protected] list and set your settings to "no mail". You will be able to view trial results and check for
any possible discrepancies, without receiving list mail. If you find an error in the reporting of your dog’s qualifying points or
registration number, please contact the host club. The host club is responsible for correcting any errors and informing NADAC.
Levels. Points earned at a higher level of a class, prior to the completion of the lower level title, will not be banked by NADAC for
future use. If a dog earns points in a level of a class that they are not eligible to title in, those points will not be added to the dog's
records.
D. OTHER CLUB POLICIES



All dogs must be on leash when not competing in the ring.
Please clean up after your dog! You will be asked to leave the trial if you do not clean up after your dog.
A withdrawal from the competition after the closing date due to an injury and/or illness and/or a bitch coming into
season after the closing date will be eligible for a refund up to 75% of the total entry fee paid. A veterinarian's notice
of injury or illness will be required for a refund.
E. TRAVEL TO THE TRIAL SITE
FROM THE NORTH: Take I-64 E towards NORFOLK/VA BEACH. Take Exit 291B (HWY 168 S. BYPASS) towards
Nags Head. Take the second Hanbury Rd. exit 10B. Road name will change to Etheridge Manor. Turn right onto
Centreville Turnpike. Trial site will be 1½ miles on the left. When you see the RR signs we will be the 3rd driveway on
the left. Watch for the FAMILY DOG CLUB sign. If you go over the railroad tracks, you’ve gone too far.
FROM THE WEST & SOUTH: Take US-58 E towards NORFOLK. Take I-64 W and then take Exit 291B (HWY 168 S.
BYPASS) towards Nags Head and follow directions from  above.
MAPQUEST: Select directions to Chesapeake City. Take I-64 E to the Indian River Road exit (286B). Turn right at 2nd
light onto Centreville Turnpike. Trial site is 10.3 miles on the left. When you see the RR signs we will be the 3rd driveway
on the left. Watch for the FAMILY DOG CLUB sign. If you go over the railroad tracks, you’ve gone too far.
ACCOMODATIONS
Tails Up Agility has arranged for a block of rooms to be held for trial participants at the La Quinta Inn (192 Newtown
Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23462; 757-497-6620). The hotel is about 20 minutes from the trial site, allows dogs with no pet
fees, and is convient for food. Please mention Tails Up Agility to get a discounted rate.
The Family Dog Club (trial site) will allow overnight RV camping.
No hook ups.

1.4. Exhibitor/owner acknowledge all hazards presented by the event and the
event premises, including, but not limited to, the condition of the floors,
stairways, halls, lighting, security measures or lack of, electrical appliances,
fitting, show rings, parking areas and the presence of unfamiliar animals and
people; exhibitor and owner assume the risk of any harm arising from these.
1.5. Exhibitor/owner release NADAC (including NADAC officers, directors,
employees, and members), Tails Up Agility Club (including its officers,
directors, and members, and event organizing committee), the Family Dog
Club Facility (including its officers, agents, and employees) and will defend
them and hold them harmless from all present and future loss, injury, damage,
claims, demands and liabilities involving the entered dog, the event or event
premises. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing hold harmless
provisions, exhibitor/owner hereby specifically assume sole responsibility for
and agree to indemnify and save aforementioned parties harmless from any
and all loss and expenses (including legal fees) by reason of the liability
imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damages because
of bodily injuries, including death, at any time in consequence of my (our)
participation in this event, howsoever such injury, or death may be caused,
and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be been alleged to
have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their
employees or agents or any other persons.
1.6. Exhibitor understands there is a returned check fee of $35.
