DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS The symbol shown here, and on the product, means that this product is classed as electrical or electronic equipment, and should not be disposed of with other household or commercial waste at the end of its working life. The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive (2002/96/EC) has been put in place to recycle products using the best available recovery and recycling techniques to minimise the impact on the environment, treat any hazardous substances, and avoid landfill disposal. Typical 24V @ 50mA Min Voltage 20V DC Max Voltage 28V DC 4. Once the Gateway is discovered, please follow the onscreen instructions and add the IP network settings. A default host name is assigned by Pressac, but this can be altered if desired or if more than one IP Gateway will be assigned to a network and there is a duplicate name. DIN Rail All EEP Telegrams No IP 40 0 to 50ºC 868, 902 MHz 95mm x 36mm x 58mm approx Ethernet speed 10/100Mbps WIRELESS GUIDELINES In typical building conditions, where there are no obstructions causing screening, EnOcean® devices will normally interoperate at a range of 30m line of sight (LoS) Typically in a building, there are a number of factors which can reduce this LoS range further. Furthermore, the angle at which radio waves penetrate obstructions also has a greater or lesser effect on signal quality. Where an obstacle to transmission is present, the signal should propagate perpendicular to the obstruction for best results. 5. Click on the “server configuration” tab in the utility and add the receiving IP address and socket, or use DHCP to automatically assign an IP address. The Gateway acts as a TCP client and connects to listening servers on the specified socket and IP address. It provides bidirectional monitoring and control of EnOcean® networks from IP network servers and devices, locally or remotely. Pressac Sensing can also provide a fully managed web platform. Mount the IP Gateway in its desired location, away from any objects that might obstruct the radio signal or reduce its range. The unit can be DIN rail mounted using the clips on the base of the case. KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS Transforms your sensors into “Smart Internet Sensors” ® Fully EnOcean compliant Provides bi-directional network communications Dedicated TCP Socket communications Wide range 12-28V DC supply Cost-effective enabler to integrate building/plant processes with enterprise software DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY Pressac Communications Limited (the original manufacturer) declares that the product branded IP Gateway—868 MHz If mounting in a control panel, make sure the panel box is plastic so that the radio signal can travel through it. If mounting in a metal box the aerial must be removed and connected outside the panel with a 50ohm coax lead. Please note that the connector type is RP SMA (reverse polarity). Do not over-tighten the aerial as it may cause damage. Always use the approved aerial provided with the unit. Fitting a more powerful aerial will cause the IP Gateway signals to travel further than designed. This will invalidate the warranty and may be contrary to the radio licence in your country. Connect the IP Gateway to the Ethernet using a CAT5e or CAT6 cable and connect the IP Gateway to a 100mA, 24V dc power supply. When the IP Gateway is connected to the server, the Status LED will flash for half a second every time EnOcean® radio telegrams are received by the device. PRODUCT MAINTENANCE IP Gateway—902 MHz satisfies the requirements of Annex II of the R&TTE Directive and has been independently tested & found compliant with the essential requirements of: BS EN 61326-1 2013 Electromagnetic Compatibility BS EN 61010-1 2010 Safety Requirements for Electrical Equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use Class B device for industrial use, pollution degree II. On receipt of the product, inspect it carefully to ensure no damage has occurred during shipment. If damage is evident, or the product fails to operate according to specifications, contact your dealer, or Pressac. If the product appears to be malfunctioning, contact your dealer, or Pressac. The Pressac website contains full information on our Product Returns Policy. 5-35% Metal, concrete, mirrors 10-90% Learn button LEDs 1. Download and install the Gateway Configuration Utility from www.presscomm.co.uk/Pressac-sensingproducts 2. To configure the IP Gateway, power the IP Gateway and connect your Windows PC directly using an Ethernet cable. Ensure the LAN adapter being used is enabled and all other network adapters (including wireless) are disabled. 3. Open the installed Pressac Ethernet Gateway Configuration Tool and click “search” to begin searching for the connected Gateway. 6. Once fully configured, click on the “save” tab. The Gateway device is now ready for use. Factory default network and connection settings are restored by pressing the “learn” button while the unit is power cycled and keeping it depressed for 12 seconds. While factory default settings are being restored, the unit status LED will flash. When default settings have been fully restored both LEDs will flash. This can be done standalone without the Ethernet cable connected.
