“Cliff ’s Notes” for Episcopal Worship
Stand, sit, kneel, bow, make the sign of the cross? We’ve resumed our Teaching Eucharist Series, where a
narrator explains the different elements of our worship during the Holy Eucharist. The service leaflets will
have the explanations and you can feel free to write your own notes so that you can study them later. The
teaching series begins today, continues on October 19, November 9 and 16, and ends on November 23.
Clergy will be available in the Parish Hall for follow up discussion and/or questions about why we do what
we do in worship.

Angel Tree
Gifts and Foods for
Those in Need
St. Paul’s CCIC committee is
resurrecting the Angel Tree again
this year! This is an opportunity to
provide Christmas gifts and dinner
for families and individuals that otherwise cannot afford
these extras.
The tree will be set up November 16th. Each “ornament”
will contain a number and information for a needed gift or
food card. Here are the simple steps:
1.
Pick up an ornament (or two!)
2.
Sign your name on the associated number line of
the master list
3.
Purchase the gift card(s)
4.
Attach the ornament to the card/envelope
5.
Deliver to St. Paul’s no later than 12/7
We’ll take care of delivering them.
We strongly recommend gift cards for both the gifts and the
food. Why?? To allow parents to shop for their children and
to shop for the family’s favorite Christmas dinner. This is an
extra special benefit that many of these parents/individuals
do not get to experience often.
Please help us spread the spirit and experience of Christmas
to those less fortunate.
If you have any questions, please call Leslie Dawson or
Mary Waddington.

RUMMAGE SALE!
Time to clean out those closets! The Fall Rummage Sale will be held November 8 & 9.
Rummage may be dropped off on Sunday mornings (no later than 11:30).
Set up for the sale will begin on Sunday November 2nd after church and continue through
the following week.
Please keep the following in mind:
•
Please only good-condition toys, books, household items, linens, jewelry, clothing, shoes and knick-knacks
•
Please bring small furniture and bulky items to the parish hall during set-up week
•
Please only appliances in working order
Your cooperation with the above requests will save us the cost of having to dispose of unsalable merchandise. It will also
save the backs of our volunteers who will otherwise have to remove unsalable items.
We really need folks that can help sort the rummage on Sunday mornings beginning in September and strong men (or
women) that can lift rummage to the top shelves in the storage room.
Please contact Joan McDavid or Leslie Dawson if you have any questions or would like to volunteer.
