Father John is in good spirits even joking with the nursing staff so definitely heading in the right
direction. But getting fully better
will be a longer process than he
had anticipated and has a few
setbacks on the way. He has
confirmed that he still cannot
accept visitors at the moment
and would appreciate it if no-one
sent or copied him into emails for
now. He knows this is frustrating to
those wishing him well, but will let
us know when he feels a bit
stronger. and getting back to
normal. He thanks everyone for
their wonderful cards and does
ask that we continue to keep him
in our prayers. In the meantime,
we are extremely grateful to Fr
Anthony Hale for agreeing to
celebrate the Sunday masses for
the next few weeks.
At this weekend’s masses, there will
be a special collection for the work of
Missio. As you will know, Fr John was
a missionary priest in East Africa for
many years before becoming a
parish priest. If you would like to see
the work of Missio, please do visit the
website. www.missio.org.uk
If you need to arrange a baptism,
marriage, funeral or would like to
receive the Sacrament of the Sick
or Reconciliation, please contact
Liz Braines in the Parish Office.
IMPORTANT: School Application forms - If you have a child wanting to

wheelchair user, this is a useful spot for those with push-chairs - but do remember to keep the aisle
clear during communion. A wheelchair is available at each church for use by any parishioner to make
it easier to get around for Mass or other Parish Events. Also, if you need to receive communion or a
blessing where you are sitting at Mass please let one of the welcomers know in before Mass starts.
There are also newsletters in large type format and large print versions of the Mass Sheet on Sundays.
If you are visually-impaired, or have someone at home who could benefit from this, please do take one.
