HOW TO GET THERE:
The closest airport is Trieste Airport. There are direct flights from several European cities:
Brussels, Munich, Rome and London (a full list of direct destinations is available at:
http://www.aeroporto.fvg.it/en/voli/voli_diretti.htm). Available flight operators are Alitalia
and Lufthansa, as well as low-cost airlines like Ryanair or JetAir.
Most of the connection flights are available via Munich (by Lufthansa) or Rome (by Alitalia) –

TRANSFERS TO AND FROM TRIESTE AIRPORT:
By bus
There is a direct bus connection (bus No.51) between Trieste airport and the city centre. The
ticket costs 3,30 EUR. For more information, please see:

For the transfer from the train station to the meeting venue, you can walk for approx. or take
the bus number 8 at the railway station stop, for any information please see the site of the

By taxi
Taxies are available outside the passenger terminal daily, between 08.00 and 24.00. For more

It is also possible to fly to Venice Marco Polo Airport and take a train to Trieste:
There are several direct flights to Venice from all over Europe. Most of the European airlines
operate to Venice (e.g. Alitalia, KLM, British Airways, Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, etc.). For

From Venice airport, you can reach Trieste central station:
1- Take the bus from Venice airport to the railway station Venezia-Mestre Station. Bus stop:
just outside the arrivals right hand side. Tickets are available onboard or at the ticket counter
in the arrival hall, left hand side.
2- Then take the direct train from Venezia-Mestre to Trieste. It runs every 1 – 1,5 hours, IC
takes 1,5 hours, regional trains 2 hours. Tickets can be bought at the counter or at automatic
casher in 4 EU-languages (all bancomat and credit cards are accepted). For more information
