About the presenter
orkers at all levels can have oversimplified
ideas about how people from other cultures operate, focusing
on just one or two elements—such as communica!on or
decision making. Culture is much more complex than we
tend to think. A more accurate picture, involves cogni!ve,
rela!onal, and behavioral differences along the dimensions
where cultural gaps are most common.
Pre-Seminar Prepara!on: Please take a simple cultural
profile survey offered at the following website:
h#p://hbr.org/web/assessment/2014/08/whats-yourcultural-profile
The 25 ques!ons can be completed in 10 minutes on any
computer at work or at home. At the end of the survey’s
25 ques!ons, indicate your own na!onality, and then see
a bu"on that says “Submit.” When this is selected, the
results of their individual survey will be displayed.
Please print your results and bring this to the seminar.
Note: If you see an adver•sement simply click the “X” to
remove and get to the survey.
