Lector:
Good morning / Good afternoon. Good Evening. (PAUSE) Welcome to
Good Shepherd for the 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time. We extend a
special welcome to visitors and new parishioners.

As Jesus taught us, we come to God with confidence, bringing
our concerns for the church and the world.

1. For the Church: that we may be stirred to desire deeper union with God and

2. For our government leaders and those of other nations: that God will guide
them in confronting the challenges of our day to bring peace to our

has shown love for us and be filled with awe and gratitude for God’s

4. For a spirit of hospitality and thanksgiving during our Jubilee year as we offer

abilities …we pray…
6. For all who serve our nation and local communities, and for those in the
medical profession caring for others: that God will keep them from harm and
guide them in protecting others…we pray…
