EAST TENNESSEE CHRISTIAN TEEN CONVENTION Next Sunday, November 2, is the East Tennessee Christian Teen Convention at Crossroads Christian Church from 4:00 – 8:00 p. m. This year's theme is “Collide, Fusing Leadership and Discipleship”. There will be a brief meeting TODAY following the service to discuss traveling plans and times. S.T.O.P. Our next S.T.O.P. (Simple Time of Peace) Creative Worship service will be TONIGHT, at 6:00 p. m. EVERYONE is invited! MEAL FOR SHUT-INS The Ladies Aide will deliver meals to shut-ins on Monday, October 27. If you know of someone who would need a meal, please contact a member of the Ladies Aide. If you would like to provide an item, there is a sign-up sheet in the foyer. Thanks for your help! CCCWF TO MEET The Carter County Christian Women’s Fellowship will meet on Tuesday, October 28, at 7:00 p. m. at Carter. All ladies are asked to bring a dessert. There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer for the desserts. We do need some male volunteers to help serve! NO WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY There will not be any Bible Study this Wednesday, October 29, due to Trunk-or-Treat. MINISTER OUT OF TOWN THIS WEEK Tom will be out of town Monday thru Wednesday of THIS week at a Planning Retreat with his Preachers’ Study Group. If needed, you can reach him by cell phone (946-5903). ETCHA HOSTING JOYFEST The East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy is hosting their third annual Joyfest at T. A. Dugger Junior High School on Saturday, November 1, from 6:00 to 9:00 p. m. This year’s lineup includes the ETSU Bluegrass Band, Third Day Resurrection, No Name But His, and Downpour. Tickets are $7 for general seating and $10 for reserved seating. Proceeds from this event will benefit East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy. For more details please see the poster in the foyer. The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. EARLY BIRD DEADLINE FOR TCTC Fall means it is time to start planning for the Tennessee Christian Teen Convention. Please mark your calendars for January 9 to 11. NEXT Sunday, November 2, is the super early bird deadline to sign up for the convention. Please contact Tom for more details. VETERANS TO BE HONORED Veterans will be honored with a slide show on Sunday, November 9. If you have previously submitted a picture, you do not have to submit another one. Your kindness may encourage them and can also be an invitation to visit us at Carter MEET-AND-EAT THANKSGIVING DINNER Please join us for our monthly Meet-And-Eat on Wednesday, November 5, at 6:00 p. m. in the Fellowship Hall. We are having a Thanksgiving Dinner. The church will provide the turkeys, and we are asking everyone to bring a covered dish or dishes. THANKSGIVING OFFERING We will be collecting a special offering to go towards outreach and benevolence on Sunday, November 23. Thanks for your contributions! Youth Program and Families EDUCATION MINISTRY ADULTS: Men and women meet together on Sunday at 10:00 a. m. in the Fellowship Hall. They study various topics. Volunteers lead this study. MIXED-UP ADULTS: Men and women meet together on Sunday at 10:00 a. m. in their classroom. They study various topics. Volunteers lead this study. YOUTH AND CHILDREN: The following classes meet in their classrooms at 10:00 a. m. on Sunday: Ages 0 – 1, Ages 2 – 4, Ages 5 – 6, Elementary School Age, and Youth with various teachers. After the offering all kids ages 2 thru 8 dismiss to Kid’s Church, They sing, learn Bible verses, have Bible stories, do crafts, and have other activities. They have various teachers.
