Daily Gospel Reflection
2nd Annual Chef’s Cook Off
The Faith Formation Parent Group is pleased to
announce the next sponsored event.
You loved it last November so we are bringing it back
again. You may remember that we had an evening in
which parents and/or grandparents brought in a sample
of their favorite recipe to share. We set the Sacred Heart
Room up for the feast and enjoyed fellowship while the
students were in class. Copies of the recipe were made
available and many of us found recipes to add to our
collections. We will again be offering prizes for the
following categories; main dish, salad, appetizers and
desserts.
The U.S. Bishops have an awesome website that you
can go to everyday to hear a reflection on the readings
for that day. The presentations are short videos usually
around 3 - 5 minutes in length and are given by a variety
of different people.
We have added a link to the Sacred Heart website
www.sacredheartappleton.com to take you
directly to the page, simply click on the
“Daily Gospel Reflection” link.
We Are Moving
Due to Cursillo occupying the cafeteria we are moving
the November Parish Luncheon to the second Thursday.
Mark you calendars for Wednesday, December 3. Food
items can be brought in when you bring the kids for
class. Stay and spend some time with your Sacred Heart
family.

This is a great place to shop for holiday decorations, ornaments, furniture, Christmas trees, antiques and
more! Store proceeds benefit people in need in our community. In 2013, St. Vincent de Paul donated over $350,000 in
financial assistance and merchandise to help people meet
their basic needs.
St. Vincent de Paul helps qualifying individuals and families
with their rent, utility bills, medical bills, transportation and
more. Shop and give to a great cause this holiday season!
