All three readings for this Sunday speak about a call or vocation and
amazingly in all three we find a similar response. In the first reading we see the
call of Isaiah, in the second reading the call of Paul and in the gospel the call of
Peter. All three showed a common reaction; their unworthiness and sinfulness but
eventually responded positively with a “YES” to God’s invitation.
There are two great lessons for us to understand concerning vocations.
First, no one is worthy to merit God’s grace, it is a pure gift. Secondly, when we
place our complete trust in God’s grace, the impossible becomes possible; as we
see in the vocation stories of Isaiah, Paul and Peter, these are an excellent proof
of that.
My brothers and sisters, by the virtue of our baptism, we are called by God
for a specific mission, which is to be “fishers of men”; to go and make new disciples for the Lord. May the Holy Spirit give us the strength and enthusiasm to respond to God’s invitation to be His close collaborators as were Isaiah, Paul and

Toulè 3 lekti nan 4èm Dimanch jodi-a ap pale-n de vokasyon kote Bondye te rele Ezayi nan premye lekti-a, nan dezyèm,
lekti a nou wè Jezu ki chwazi sen Pòl pou-l vi-n apot and finalman
nan levanjil lan Jezu chwazi sen Pyè pou-l vi-n tounen peche moun.
Gen 2 gwo leson ke istwa vokasyon Ezayi, Pol ak Pyè jodi-a
vle nou konprann.
Frè ak sè mwen yo, depi jou batèm nou an Granmèt la te
rele-n pou-n vi-n kolabore avèk Li kòm disip Li e Li konfye-n yon misyon trè klè ki se vi-n tounen “pechè moun” sa vle di al fè disip pou
Granmèt la. Ann mande Lespri Sen pou Li konble-n ak kouraj e
