The family suggests memorial contributions to st. Jude’s children’s hospital. Norma J. gallagher 1933 - 2014 | age 81 Norma Jean (Walker) lindensmith gallagher, 81, st. Joseph, died Wednesday, october 29, 2014 at home. she was born February 13, 1933 to chester and alta (Walls) Walker in st. Joseph. Norma was a 1950 graduate of benton high school and she retired from missouri Western state university after 25 years as personal secretary to the president of the college. Norma was actively involved in the pony express museum, the runcie club, Questers, Flower society, inklings book club, and her beloved caJ club of which she had been part of for over 60 years. she was also very proud to design the garden at our lady of guadalupe catholic church. she was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jerry lindensmith; son, philip lindensmith; and step-son, mark gallagher. survivors: her husband, dan gallagher of the home; son, mark lindensmith (gaytha); brother, donald Walker; step-children, susie Kovac (mark), Julie gallagher, Kristi Nikes (greg), Jeff lawson (roxie), and lisa gawatz (danny); numerous grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. memorial services: Friday, october 31 meierhoffer Funeral home & crematory. inurnment memorial park cemetery. in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to american cancer society. paTricia guardado 1946 - 2014 | age 68 patricia “patty” guardado, 68, st. Joseph, died Thursday, october 23, 2014 at her residence. she was born February 16, 1946 to Kenny and dorma hamm. patty married louis F. guardado who preceded her in death on december 19, 1989. she was a secretary for dowis insurance company and Wisdom manufacturing. she attend lafayette high school. she was a member of st. rose of lima catholic church, and an avid golfer. she was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sons, louis Jr. and record Jeffrey guardado; and sisters, Karen Whitten, Judy root, and merilee grippando. survivors: son, Joseph guardado, st. Joseph; grandchildren, louis, samantha, and casey guardado; brothers, dean gary and roy hamm; sister, donita Kier; nieces and nephews.. The family suggests memorial gifts to hands of hope hospice. care provided by meierhoffer Funeral home & crematory. leNora h. hibbs 1920 - 2014 | age 94 lenora helen (boyd) hibbs, 94, passed from this life Friday, october 24, 2014 at laverna village in savannah, mo. she was born January 6, 1920 southeast of King city, mo. to clifton and maude (lile) boyd. lenora was baptized at a young age. she was a graduate of grandview high school. she married maurice hibbs, december 10, 1938 and he preceded her in death march 10, 1991. lenora was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers ralph d. and eugene c. boyd. maurice and lenora lived on a farm until they moved to mcFall in 1948. Then in 1955, they moved to pattonsburg, mo. where she worked in the school cafeteria for 13 years. upon retirement, they moved to savannah in 1982, where lenora became a volunteer in the oats office, senior center and rsvp in 1992 and received two president’s pins for hours volunteered. surviving family includes two sons, ronald hibbs, Forest city, mo. and clifton (Janis) hibbs, clarksdale, mo; grandchildren, randy (colette) hibbs, Jennifer reed, and Jodie (clayton) runnels; great-grandchildren, adrian cary, reganne, and riley reed; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. services: monday, october 27 roberson Funeral home, pattonsburg, mo. interment mcFall cemetery, mcFall mo. Joseph, passed away monday, october 27, 2014. mildred was born on July 31, 1930 to harry and ruth (shrewsbury) currell in hamilton, mo. she married milton huffman at the methodist church in cameron, mo. in 1948. after marriage, they lived in Wyoming a year and a half before moving back to missouri to farm in Winston. milton passed away on may 30, 2007. mildred was secretary at Winston school for nine years prior to retiring and moving to st. Joseph. mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband; foster son James; five sisters gretchen currell, pauline Whitaker, hazel hall, dorotha porter and Faye clayton; and one brother earl currell. she was a graduate of cameron high school. she was a member of the Winston baptist church and in recent years attended lighthouse Fellowship church in st. Joseph. she had a great love for music and enjoyed playing the piano. mildred was a dedicated volunteer at the Joyce raye patterson senior center for 26 years where she was director of the sing-a-ling rhythm band; leader of the dance committee, and organized the center’s pitch club. survivors: foster daughter, Jessica critten, liberty; two foster grandsons, garret critten and paul critten, liberty; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend dick lee. memorial services saturday, November 1, 2014 at heaton-bowmansmith & sidenfaden chapel in st. Joseph. samuel l. JoNes 1956 - 2014 | age 58 samuel l. Jones, age 58, st. Joseph, was born march 14, 1956 in Kansas city, mo the son of paul ruben and helen g. (eversole) Jones and passed away october 29, 2014. samuel served in the u.s. army. on march 2, 1991 samuel and deborah J. spencer were united in marriage in savannah, mo. he is preceded in death by his parents. survivors include his wife deborah Jones, st.
