The Church School teacher asked her students about the parable of the sheep
and the goats. “If all the bad people in the world were painted green and all
the good people painted red, what colour would you be?
A small hand went up. “Striped,” came the response.

Isaiah 64:1-9, Psalm 80: 1-7, 17-19, 1 Corinthians 1: 3-9 and Mark 13: 24-37.
Come join us for a festive reading of Charles Dickens' Christmas
classic at 2:00 pm at St. Hilda's. This is a joint project of St. Hilda's
and St.Bartholomew's Anglican Churches to kick off the season
celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus. Admission will be by
donation and the net proceeds will support the St. Bart's Food
Bank and St. Hilda's Community Kitchen. Please see the poster in
the narthex for details.

The sale starts at 9:00 a.m. Sharp. Last year's cookies were fantastic and the
desire from the community is very clear. We sold out again last year! Please
think about what you would like to bake....... There is a sign-up sheet in the
Narthex or you can contact Laura by email.
Plan to bring your cookies to the church
on Friday, December 12th between 3:00
and 6:00 p.m. or give us a
call and we will pick them up.
So that's the production side of the
event. The other is letting friends,
neighbours and others know about these
wonderful home baked treats. We will have a
table for gluten free cookies and one for the
rum balls and any other 'spirited' delights.
The sale starts at 9:00 a.m. sharp on Saturday
and ends at 12:00 p.m.
