SmartNight - HID Stand alone dimming ballasts for HID lamps
HID Outdoor SmartNight - HID Designed and manufactured in the UK HID Outdoor Stand alone dimming ballasts for HID lamps SmartNight LeafNut enabled ballast 50W / 60W / 70W / 90W / 100W / 140W / 150W The SmartNight ballast is a stand alone HID ballast designed for street and road lighting applications which only have one switched supply available to the lantern i.e. no photocell. The ballast will switch on at full power and dim 50% at a predetermined time. SmartNight ballasts are WiMAC compatible so it’s easy to install LeafNut, at any time, and make further carbon reductions and energy savings. Alternatively customers can choose to program the ballast in their own factory by using the Harvard SmartNightPRO programmer, with a 1 step profile to the required dimming level down to 50%, for up to 24 hours. IWASAKI Lamp compatibility: SON, CMH, CDO, HCI, Quartz • Customer programmable options avaliable • Dims to 50 or 75% Lumens at midnight (or other factory preset time) and if still on after 6 hours switches back to full power • Requires no permanent supply • Energy Saving • Fast start • Compact and lightweight • Microprocessor controlled • Operates Ceramic Metal Halide, SON, Cosmopolis • Remote operation up to 25m • Accepts 0.75mm2 to 2.5mm2 solid and stranded wire • Available in 120V (on request) • Conformal Coated, offering protection against humidity and vibration Technical Specification HPIDD60-240 -B/C-CC-SN HPIDD90-240 -B/C-CC-SN HPIDD140-240 -B/C-CC-SN Cosmopolis Lamp Compatibility 60W 90W 140W 50W 70W 100W 150W 68W 97W 152W 55W 79W 109W 161W Integral ‘B’ version 130 135 220 - 240Vac nominal AC voltage range limit Mains frequency range 91 AC45 - 65Hz Power factor >0.95 Ignition voltage 2.5kV pk Nominal lamp operating frequency 412Hz 171.4 160HZ Lamp current waveform Square Wave Max. distance from lamp** 10m 25m 25m 10m 50°C Max. case temperature at Tc 80°C Temperature range 10m 25m 25m Remote ‘C’ version -20°C to +50°C 305g Weight Max. number of ballasts per C/D 16A circuit breaker 42 Safety standard compliance 171.4 415g 28 19 45 35 28 EN61347-2-12:2005 EN61000-3-2:2000 EN61000-3-3:2001 EN61547:2000 **Harvard HID ballasts employ a unique lamp striking method which allows the lamps to be mounted further away from the ballast than with conventional gear or any other type of electronic ballast. If you ensure the cable capacitance is within the limit specified, you will be able to achieve reliable starting at extended distances. The cable must be 2 core and earthing to the lamp head/luminaire should be routed separately to the lamp wires.
