Destination Overview
Beijing
Beijing, the capital of China, is a city where the ancient culture and the modern
civilization are well integrated. It attracts tens of millions of visitors and tourists both
at home and abroad each year to enjoy its rich culture and wonderful scenery.
Beijing is endowed with rare cultural heritage by its long history. The Great Wall, one
of the world wonders, meanders through mountains and valleys for over 5500 miles.
The poetic and picturesque Summer Palace is a classic work of the imperial garden.
The Forbidden City, where the Emperor used to live, is the most splendid architectural
complex of imperial palaces in the world.
So, come, enjoy the chance to see one of the most interesting and vibrant cities in the
world!
Qingdao
You may not have heard of Qingdao before, but to Chinese people and westerners
living in China, Qingdao is the nicest coastal city in the country. The mix of clean air,
gorgeous golden beaches beaches, a moderate climate and its close proximity to
Beijing and Shanghai make Qingdao a dream location.
Qingdao is a city with over eight million inhabitants, about 2.5 million of which live in
the downtown area, and boasts the second busiest shipping port in Asia. However,
with a unique history and mix of seaside chic and modern development – it is not
your typical huge Chinese metropolis.
Qingdao has its own unique flair as it was a German colony around the start of the
20th Century and there are still many European style buildings in the old part of
Qingdao, however this taste of the past is now contrasted with sleek glass
skyscrapers which emphasise a growing cosmopolitanism. The city is surrounded by
the holy mountains of ‘Lao Shan’. This range of mountain trails, waterfalls, temples
and coastal views was said to be the birthplace of Taoism and is easily within reach.
