ON the occasion of their’ 50th wedding anniversary,
a son remarked to his father that he and mother
never seemed to fight.
“We battled,” the old man explained, “but it never
amounted to much. After a while, one of us always
realized that I was wrong.”

some of his young patients to put them at ease and
test their knowledge of body parts.
One day, while pointing to a little boy’s ear, the
doctor asked him, “Is this your nose?”

THE van had been parked in front of a high-rise
building where the driver had been making some
repairs. To his dismay, when he approached he saw
broken glass and bits of plastic lying on the road
from around the headlight.
Figuring he’d been the victim of a hit- and-run he
asked a grounds keeper working at the building if
he had seen what had happened.
Rather sheepishly the man confessed his truck had
been parked about 50 feet uphill from the van. At
some point the parking brakes had failed, and his
truck rolled down and struck the front of the van.
The police were called and while sitting with the
investigating officer in his car, the man heard him
quietly chuckling. “In all my years of police work,”
he said, “this is the first time I’ve ever investigated
an accident between two parked vehicles.”

A married couple was vacationing in Yosemite. The
wife expressed her concern about camping because
of bears and said she would feel more comfortable in the hotel. The husband said that he’d like to
camp.
To calm her concerns, he suggested they talk to the
park ranger to see what the likelihood of a bear
encounter would be.
The ranger told them, “Well, we haven’t seen any
grizzlies in this area so far this year, or black bears,
for that matter.
“The wife shrieked, “There are TWO types of bears
out here? How can you tell the difference? Which
one is more dangerous?”
The ranger replied, “Well, that’s easy -w see, if the
bear chases you up a tree and it comes up after
you, it’s a black bear. If it shakes the tree until you
fall out, it’s a grizzly.”
The hotel room was quite nice.
