NEPAL ORTHOPAEDIC ASSOCIATION
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is my immense pleasure to welcome
you all on the occasion of annual meeting
of the Nepal Orthopaedic Association
(ORTHOCON 2015), which will be
held in Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu
University Hospital on February 12, 13
and 14, 2015.
In the present scenario, the increasing interests of young
and dynamic orthopedic surgeons towards developing sub
specialty service and skills has opened new era in the field
of orthopedic services in Nepal. It is now our responsibility
as orthopedic society to encourage and nurture sub specialty
services and societies and hence this congress will focus
on “Developing subspecialty orthopedic services in Nepal:
Challenges and Opportunities” as a theme.
The scientific programme which will include free papers,
instructional course lectures, symposiums, oral-poster
presentations and workshops promises to be especially rich
in scientific content and will cater to the academic needs
of orthopaedics surgeons and related personals. We are
certain that you will find the congress as a source of excellent
educational opportunity, sharing knowledge during the
formal presentation and the informal discussions outside the
meeting rooms.
Besides academic experiences, Dhulikhel, a beautiful and
popular destination for many tourists, will also provide you a
unique opportunity to explore natural beauties of Himalayas
and authentic Newari culture.

On behalf of Nepal Orthopaedics Association, we are pleased

Orthopaedic Association (ORTHOCON 2015). The venue
for this conference is Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu
University Hospital, KUSMS which is located 30 km east to
Kathmandu and embraced with beautiful panoramic views of
