ANSWER: Before Pa goes to school he thinks the students are not studying anything important on those field trips. He believes they should learn with the help of books in the classroom only. She represents the American society, which Is materialistic, and shows the conflict between materialism and idealism. However, she's afraid George wants to reopen the case. That's why she warns Joe not to say anything. But eventually she's the one who reveals the truth. b. ANSWER: Keller suddenly agrees to help Chris and do anything he can to make the marriage with Ann possible. Keller even suggests adding Chris' name on the sign.
