Julie Bareham is a graduate of the University of
Saskatchewan’s College of
Pharmacy and Nutrition
where she earned her
Bachelor of Science in
Pharmacy in 2008. She
returned to the U of S in
2010 to pursue her Masters of Science. In addition to this, Julia currently
works for Rxfile on the Long-Term Care Project focussing on optimizing medication use in
long-term care. She also has been a board
member with the Pharmacists’ Association of
Saskatchewan since 2009.

Coordinator, Medication Assessment Centre
Eric graduated, with Distinction, from the College of
Pharmacy and Nutrition at
the University of Saskatchewan in 2011. He completed a hospital residency with
the Regina Qu’Appelle
Health Region, before accepting a staff pharmacist
position at the Royal University Hospital with the
Saskatoon Health Region. He now works as
the Coordinator of the Medication Assessment
Centre at the University of Saskatchewan.

The presentation will cover:
Eric will lead the participants in a review
and discussion of a couple of patient cases and the application of the principals
covered in Part I of this program.


The importance of an accurate
blood pressure measurement to
avoid the likelihood of overtreatment.
Blood pressure targets: upper limits, lower limits and individualization.
Time will also be provided to allow participants to ask questions as it relates to the
material presented.
