Opening Mid-March 2015!
NAMI Fox Valley is excited to announce a new program in our community – Peer Run Respite! Our agency was one of
three in the state to receive funding for this innovative approach to supporting individuals struggling with mental health
and/or substance abuse. Iris Place is completely staffed and run by individuals with lived experience who provide
24/7/365 recovery-oriented peer support. Establishing mutual connection and relationships creates a comfortable, nonjudgmental environment to offer hope and healing.

We have volunteer opportunities and a wish list to help make this dream a reality in our community!
For the following volunteer opportunities at our house, please contact Val Neff, House Manager at (920)954-1550 or

 “Adopt a Room” – Adopt a bedroom, living, kitchen, resource room, etc. at Iris Place. Decorate, clean, paint and
furnish to prepare our house for guests.
 Painting/Interior finish work – Help us prep and paint the rooms at our house. Must be able to climb ladders and
lift up to 10 lbs.
 Landscaping (Spring/Summer 2015) – Iris Place plans to have a garden and outdoor seating area. Contact us in
spring to learn more about opportunities.
 Donation pickup – Support our staff in helping pick up donations offered by the community.
 Cleaning – Help prepare our house for guests with some spring cleaning.

 Translating (for guests who are most comfortable in languages other than English) - To be a welcoming home,
we will work to meet the needs of all guests. If you can help translate materials (marketing and house
materials), please contact us.
