St Patrick’s Night: Friday 13th March Queen’s Hall, 7pm-11pm, over 18yrs only.
Traditional Céilídh with Peggy Sarsfield and Friends. This year we have the Joyce/
O'Donnell School of Irish Dancing performing their version of ‘Riverdance’. Tickets cost £5 and include Irish stew. Tickets available after Mass next weekend or
from the Parish office from Monday 23rd February. If you can help sell tickets after Mass
please let one of the clergy know.
Annual Women’s World Day of Prayer is on Friday 6th March. Full details are on the
notice boards at the back of both Churches.
Fairtrade Fortnight is 23rd Feb to 8th March this year. As a Fairtrade parish we are committed to using FT items (eg tea/coffee) for all parish organised events, promoting the use
of FT goods within the parish and publicising Fairtrade Fortnight. Shops nowadays stock
lots of FT items. Seeking them out for our weekly shop is our personal way of helping
farmers and workers abroad to get a just price for their goods and labour.
Catholic 18–30(ish) Parish Group: our next meeting will be today Sunday 22nd Feb after
the 6.30pm evening Mass. If you would like the opportunity to meet, pray, socialise and
share the Catholic Faith with other young(ish) Catholics, please speak to one of the priests

Justice & Peace Commission Conference “Food Banks: Charity or Injustice? The
Commission have organised a conference to examine the issues around food banks in more
detail, is on Saturday 28th Feb, 10:30am to 1:30pm at the Oxford Place Centre in Leeds. A
great opportunity to reflect on what is happening in our diocese and what our response, as
Christians, should be. The conference is free but places are limited so please register by

Mums and Tots Parish Group: meet every Tuesday morning during term time from
9.30am till 11.00am in Queen’s Hall.
Legion of Mary Meeting: our next meeting is on Friday 13th March 2015; at 2pm at Holy
Rosary Church, Chapeltown Road, Leeds 7. Everybody welcome.
Young People: there is now a new information Leaflet at the back of both Churches called
ICHTHUS, it is a weekly Mass leaflet for children who have made or are preparing for their
first Holy Communion, Don’t Forget your LOOK leaflet.
Coffee and Cookies: come into the Queen’s Hall after the 9.30am Mass or after the
10.00am Sunday Mass at St Paul’s, enjoy a cuppa and a chat.

PARISH MISSION
SUNDAY 22ND TO THURSDAY 26TH MARCH
The Leeds Diocesan Discernment Group for young men and women next meets on Friday
6th March, 6.30pm, at the Carmelite Monastery, Linton, (LS22 4HZ). The evening will
include a presentation on Carmelite spirituality, personal testimonies, Evening Prayer and
dinner in a nearby pub. The Minibus will be leaving Leeds Trinity at 5.30pm. More

A Mass for those coping with memory loss and their carers, families and friends:
The Parish SVP and Women's Group along with MAEcare and Leeds Irish Health and
Homes invite you to a special Mass aimed at those experiencing forgetfulness, on Thursday 26th Februaruy at 12 noon followed by a light lunch in the Queens Hall. This
monthly event also welcomes those who may feel isolated or are housebound and would
enjoy an opportunity to socialise. For further details and any transport requirements, please
contact Hillary Wadsworth on 0113 226 3994.
CONFIRMATION: Any of our young Parishioners who will be 13 years or older by 31st August 2015 and who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, please see one of the
Priests to collect an application form after Mass. Forms must be returned to the parish office
by the end of Monday 23rd February. Please note the following Dates: The classes will be
on Sunday 1st, 8th, 22nd & 29th March; 26th April and 10th May, 2pm-4pm in the
Queens Hall (candidates must attend all classes); Penitential Service: Tuesday 19th May
7pm at IHOM, then Sacrament of Confirmation: Tuesday 2nd June at 7pm at IHOM
Church. Candidates wanting to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation are taking on a commitment to live that faith which only makes sense if you are a practising catholic attending
weekly Mass.
Children's Liturgy At IHOM: we now have a newly decorated self contained Liturgy
room for those children attending Liturgy at 9.30am Mass each Sunday. The room will be
officially opened and blessed on Sunday 1st March after Mass. It will give parents the opportunity to see where the cherished little ones go each Sunday. There will also be the opportunity to have a cuppa and a chat with those who help with the group. All welcome.
CAFOD Fast Day is this Friday 27th Feb. There will be a brief address at the end of
Masses today on this year’s Lent Appeal for communities dealing with extreme weather
conditions in places such as Myanmar (formerly Burma). Please take a Fast Day envelope
home with you today and return it with the Offertory collection or after Mass next
week . Donations may be gift-aided. Thank you.
Churches Together in Roundhay: The Soup Lunch for Christian Aid at the Friends
Meeting House, Street Lane on Wednesday 25th February at !2noon. The Immaculate Heart
Lent Lunch in aid of CAFOD , will be on Thursday 19th March at 12.30 in the Queens Hall.
