Is%there%anyone%out%there%who%really%enjoys%winter?%
We%are%in%the%middle%of%it,%the%weather%may%be%lousy,%
but%the%council%activities%are%great.%Just%what%we%need%
to%help%get%through%it%and%there%is%a%lot%to%choose%from.%%

I%don’t%know%anyone%who%doesn’t%like%beef,%oysters%and%
shrimp%especially%when%combined%into%one%event.%
That’s%just%what%Vic%Grams%gave%us%with%the%
Bull,%Oyster%and%Shrimp%Roast.%The%sell%out%crowd%made%
it%one%of%the%best%ever!%%And%for%those%who%like%to%
dance,%Brain%Perry%and%Tim%Strauch%gave%us%the%
Valentine%Dance;%this%is%always%a%favorite%around%here.%
Good%food,%good%music%it%doesn’t%get%any%better,%and%it%
doesn’t%end%here.%We%all%know%March%is%when%the%Irish%
and%Irish%wannaPbe’s%turn%out%to%celebrate%St.%Patrick’s%
Day.%We%even%contribute%to%the%celebration%with%a%
dance%March%14th%in%honor%of%the%occasion.%Contact%

men’s%softball%season.%This%year%we%will%most%likely%
play%in%a%spring/summer%league%and%go%to%the%
Knights%of%Columbus%National%Softball%Tournament%
in%Long%Island,%New%York.%%

Softball%can%be%a%good%recruiting%tool%for%new%

friend%who%likes%to%play%softball%to%join%the%Knights%

State%Charity%Fund%is%currently%low%on%funds.%%Of%
particular%note,%the%Charity%Fund%has%already%
given%out%as%much%money%as%it%has%received%in%
donations%this%year.%Over%the%past%30%years,%the%
Charity%Fund%has%disbursed%over%1.1%million%
dollars.%%The%fund%depends%on%your%tax%deductible%
donations.%%When%you%receive%your%letter%in%the%
mail%from%your%council%requesting%a%donation,%our%
State%Deputy%asks%that%you%remember%those%less%
fortunate%then%you.%%Your%generosity%has%always%
been%most%outstanding%and%he%thanks%you.%%

visiting%Washington%DC%this%coming%September.%%In%
preparation%for%his%visit,%the%Basilica%usher%

Basilica%of%the%National%Shrine%of%the%Immaculate%
Conception%since%the%Order’s%centennial%year,%
1982.%%The%usher%ministry%staffs%all%the%National%
Shrine’s%Sunday,%Holy%Day%and%pilgrimage%Masses,%
as%well%as%its%concerts%and%other%special%events.%%
