2015 5% Campaign
2015 5% Campaign: Contact your legislators now!
Last year’s 5% campaign was so successful because so many individuals contacted their legislators to express how important the increase was
to them. The 5% Campaign is working again to secure a rate increase to
further increase the wages of direct support staff throughout Minnesota.
Please contact your legislators and let them know how important this
issue is and ask them to support this effort. Remember to thank them for
their past support. The bills are: In the Senate: SF 646 and in the
House: HF 564.
Annual Lions Club Pancake Day
The Duluth Lions Club Annual Pancake Day is Thursday, May 7th,
from 6am to 8pm. DRCC has once again purchased 200 tickets for
clients and any staff who accompany them. Pancake Day is held at
the DECC in the Pioneer Hall. Parking is free in the DECC ramp or
lot, compliments of the Duluth Lions Club.
PROGRAM DIRECTORS: Please email or phone Linda at the Main Office to
reserve your tickets. Tickets are presold at $6.00 each which gets charged
against your Program’s food budget.

After 23 years, the current Program Director at DRCC-Oneota is changing focus
and will be working primarily with training at DRCC. Therefore, we are seeking a
FULL-TIME PROGRAM DIRECTOR to supervise this SILS program. DRCCOneota provides services to five women and three men in the West Duluth area.
Starting wage is $16.00 per hour + one ($.50) client differential equaling $16.50 per
hour ($34,320 annually) + benefits. The Program Director must have at least a baccalaureate degree and at least 1 year experience working with persons with disabilities, or, 5 years experience working with people with disabilities. The Program
Director is responsible for supervising approximately 5-6 staff. This position will

After nearly 8 years, the current Program Director at DRCC-Manumit is moving to
another challenge within DRCC. Therefore, we are seeking a FULL-TIME PROGRAM DIRECTOR to serve 8 adults in a side-by-side duplex, plus 3 additional individuals who live in their own apartment/home in east Duluth. Starting wage is
$16.00 per hour + one ($.50) client differential equaling $16.50 per hour ($34,320
annually) + benefits. The Program Director is responsible for supervising approximately 4-5 staff. Supervisory and program writing experience preferred. DRCC-Rockridge (serving four women in Kenwood) is seeking a FULL-TIME
PROGRAM COORDINATOR (starting salary $12.25/hour + benefits). Hours are:
Sundays 9:30am – 11pm, sleep overnight, Monday 6am-2:30pm; Tuesday 2pm11pm, sleep overnight, Wednesday 6am – 3pm. Some flexibility in scheduling is
expected. Looking for a person who is organized, is self-initiating, dependable, responsible, a team player, who is good with people, able to follow our plans, experienced in behavioral issues, and willing to go the extra mile when needed. work a variety of 2-8pm shifts plus every other weekend. Must be able to work a

REFERRAL INCENTIVE: DRCC offers a $100 referral incentive to any employee who refers a Program Assistant, Coordinator
or Director and a $250 referral incentive to employees who refer an LPN or RN for employment to DRCC. The incentive
payment will be received after their referral is hired and successfully completes six months of employment.

DRCC-Noumenon will take all your old phone books (for a client). Don’t throw them
away - bring them to the Main Office. Thanks!
DRCC-Oak is requesting dark colored COTTON fabric or denim for a gentleman
client. The fabric and denim will be eventually cut into strips so it doesn’t have to be
any certain type of cloth, just at least 18” long. If anyone has some that they would like
to donate they can put it in Buck’s office.
DRCC-Oak is looking for a Foosball or Air Hockey table. If anyone (Programs or otherwise) has one they want to get rid of, Oak would love to take it off your hands. Call

DRCC-Willow is requesting sheets. They have a client that shreds them and are basically replacing a sheet every day for the bed. If you are getting rid of sheets, any size
