Rules Premios Programadores Addons 2015
Article 1: The organizer of the competition
The organizer of the competition “Premios Programadores Addons 2015” is the public limited company
PrestaShop, with a capital of 311,008.20 euros, registered with the Nanterre Registry of Trade and
Companies under the number 497 619 635 000 53, with Bruno Lévêque as Chairman and Managing
Director, holding CNIL declaration number 1331285 and whose registered office is located at 55 rue
Raspail 92300 Levallois Perret (the Organizer).
PrestaShop is the creator and publisher of an open source software solution, provided under a free
license, enabling its clients to create e-commerce websites, quickly and easily. The basic version of this
solution is freely and openly downloadable or usable in a hosted version from the PrestaShop website.
This solution has an open and modular architecture which enables each client to personalize its
e-commerce website and to associate the additional features (the modules) or to select new graphic charts
(the themes). The Addons are modules and themes available in the catalogue commercialized on the
Addons marketplace, PrestaShop’s official marketplace http://addons.prestashop.com. The Addons are
developed by the company PrestaShop directly and by third-party developers independently (the
Contributors).
Articles 2: Purpose
The purpose of Premios Programadores Addons 2015 (the Competition) is to promote the best
Contributors and Addons for the Spanish e-traders. The Competition only applies to Spain.
To participate in the Competition, the Contributors shall present one or two modules to a jury selected
by PrestaShop, who, after technical validation, shall assess the quality of the proposed modules.
Prestashop shall grant a price to the best participants and an increased visibility on the Addons marketplace.
Articles 3: How to participate
All the Contributors registered on the Addons marketplace and having developed one or several Addons
modules may participate. The agencies and developers who are not yet registered on the Addons
marketplace may also participate. The latter must register on the Addons marketplace for such purpose.
By registering on the Addons marketplace, the participants accept the Addons General Conditions
applicable to Contributors, general conditions which apply to Contributors and which are available at
this address: http://addons.prestashop.com/en/content/26-contributors-terms.

The participants must not be part of the company PrestaShop. The participants must reside in Spain. The
competition is free and without commitment. Each participation is individual.
Article 4: The Competition Process
The Competition shall take place from March 23 to April 30, 2015 inclusive. The participants may
submit their modules during this period.
Once they are connected in their administration interface on the Addons marketplace, the participants
may submit up to two modules, in the conditions provided by the Addons General Conditions applicable
to Contributors.
The participants propose their modules amongst the following categories:
a. Flow
b. Conversion
c. Loyalty
d. Location in Spain
e. Time gain
The participants may only propose one module per category. The modules that already exist may
compete.
Once the module has been proposed to the PrestaShop team, it may no longer be modified. The modules
must first pass through the Addons validator stage https://validator.prestashop.com/auth/login before
being evaluated by the Competition jury.
The winners will be selected by a jury chosen by PrestaShop, who will evaluate the modules proposed
according to several criteria:
 Innovative nature of the features
 Quality of screenshots and documentation
 Drafting of the product description
 Quality of the user experience
 Respect of validator and code quality
 Commentaries in the code
The results will be announced on the evening of May 26, 2015 in Madrid, during a PrestaShop MeetUp,
then communicated on the website http://addons.prestashop.com and by email.
Article 5: The prize draw

The amount of 5 000 euros for the Super Winner all categories combined;
The amount of 3 000 euros for each Winner in each category;
An “Awards” badge until December 31, 2015 on the Spanish website of the Addons
marketplace, intended for clients residing in Spain;
A 6 week exposure on the home page on http://addons.prestashop.com destined for Spain during
the year 2015;
Exclusive t-shirt + goodies.

The Super Winner may not cumulate the status of winner of a category.
Advertisements on the homepage of the Addons marketplace shall refer to a selection of the best modules
of each category of the Competition.
The prizes will be distributed upon the announcement of the results, on the evening of May 26, 2015 in
Madrid, during a PrestaShop MeetUp.
Article 6: Sale of the winning modules
The winning participants will be obliged to sell their module selected as winner on the Addons
marketplace for a period of six (6) months as from the date of the announcement of the results of the
Competition.
The Organizer reserves the right to discontinue a Contributor or an Addons, in the conditions provided
in the Addons General Conditions applicable to Contributors.
In accordance with the Addons General Conditions applicable to Contributors, PrestaShop will be
remunerated for the referencing and the distribution of the modules. The modules that were selected as
winners of the Competition shall give rise, until December 31, 2015 included, to a commission
corresponding to 50% of the Price of the Sale. All the other articles of the Addons General Conditions
applicable to Contributors, in particular the articles concerning PrestaShop’s remuneration shall apply.
After December 31, 2015, PrestaShop’s conditions of remuneration shall be strictly those provided in
the Addons General Conditions applicable to Contributors.
Article 7: Respect of the participation conditions
The status of winner is subordinated to the validity of the participation.
The participation in the Competition shall involve on the part of the participants the full acceptance of
these rules without reserve, available on the website addons.prestashop.com with a noticeable and
specific link as soon as the participants access the Competition. The participation in the Competition
implies a loyal attitude, involving the absolute respect of the rules of the Competition and the other
participants. The participants undertake not to set up or attempt to set up any participation process that
would not be strictly compliant with the respect of the principles of the competition and these rules. The
Organizer reserves the right to automatically discard and without prior notice any person who fails to
comply with these rules.
By participating in the Competition, the participant also acknowledges to have been informed and have
accepted the Addons General Conditions applicable to Contributors.
The participants undertake to fill out all the obligatory fields of the entry form, the latter enabling him
to be contacted in the event of winning, by providing accurate information (civil status, name, first name,
email address, date of birth). The participants certify that the information recorded in the entry form
shall prove their identity. The information entered by the participant shall commit the latter as from its
validation. By participating in the Competition, the participant is informed and acknowledges that he is
making available personal and commercial information to the Organizer.

This information is necessary to ensure the successful pursuance of the Competition and the
communication of the results. In accordance with the Law on IT and liberties of January 6, 1978
modified and its application decrees, the participants have a right of access and modification to the
information that is relevant to them. The participants also have a right of opposition, for legitimate
reasons, to the processing of their personal data. These rights may be exercised by sending a letter to:
PrestaShop – Personal data, 55, rue Raspail 92300 – Levallois-Perret (France).
On the outcome of these results, the Organizer shall verify the conditions of validity of the participation.
In the event of a suspicion of fraud or alleged fraud, he shall advise the participant(s) concerned by
email. In this case, a complementary identification of winners shall be made as soon as possible.
Article 8: Liability
The participation in the Competition implies that the participants have acknowledged and accepted the
characteristics and the limits of the Internet. The Organizer’s liability may not be incurred for all the
incommodities or harm inherent to the use of the Internet network and entirely extraneous to the
diligence and precautions that would have been taken. In particular, any disturbance to our network or
any external interference or presence of IT viruses would not be able to incur the Organizer’s liability.
The onus is on each participant to take all the suitable measures in order to protect his own data and/or
software stored on its IT equipment against any harm. The connection of any person on the PrestaShop
websites and the participation in the Competition shall be made under his sole responsibility.
The Organizer’s liability may not be incurred, generally, in the event of a force majeure or a fortuitous
event beyond his control (in particular technical problems…) disturbing the organization and the
management of the Competition, in such a way that the latter would be curtailed, extended, postponed,
modified or cancelled. Within the meaning of these Rules, the force majeure is perceived as any
unforeseeable, insurmountable event and beyond the control of a person likely to relieve him of his
liability or free him of his commitments, according to the case law of the Cour de Cassation.
Article 9: Industrial and intellectual property
In accordance with the Addons General Conditions applicable to Contributors, the participation in the
Competition shall not entail any transfer of ownership for the benefit of the other party. Consequently,
each of the parties shall retain all of his intellectual property rights and the Contributor shall, in
particular, retain the full ownership of his Addons.
In accordance with the Addons General Conditions applicable to Contributors, for the operational
requirements of PrestaShop Addons and for the duration of the commercial relations between the parties,
the Contributor grants to PrestaShop, on a non-exclusive basis and gratuitously:
- All of the rights necessary for the referencing, distribution and the promotion of Addons on
PrestaShop Addons, and in particular the right to carry out any IT operation for this purpose, to
reproduce, represent, disseminate, distribute and promote the Addons in any form and by any
recognized means;

The right to reproduce and represent any element subject to an intellectual or industrial property
right (logo, trademark, texts, images) the use of which would be required for the referencing of
Addons on PrestaShop Addons;
The right to sub-license to Clients a non-exclusive license for the use of Addons, limited to only
one e-commerce Shop and valid for the entire duration of the copyrights as soon as the Addon
has been downloaded (hereafter the “Client License”).
The financial consideration of this transfer is included in the Contributor’s remuneration such as
provided in the Addons General Conditions applicable to Contributors.
The Contributor is informed and accepts that this license granted to PrestaShop shall continue after the
termination of the contractual relations that occurred in accordance with the stipulations of the Addons
General Conditions applicable to Contributors.
The reproduction, representation or the exploitation of all or part of the elements of the Competition are
strictly prohibited, unless with the prior written approval by the Organizer.
Article 10: Disputes
These rules are subject to French law.
Any dispute arising at the time of this competition and which is unable to be settled amicably, shall be
submitted to the relevant courts.
