Our Goal
The goal of AKCCL’s After
School Program is to provide a

healthy development of children. With a balance of academic development, community awareness, physical and
health education, recreation,
and nutritional support, children will learn the importance
of making good choices, accepting personal responsibility, developing their physical and

Moving People Forward
AKCCL After-school Care
Today, millions of children return to
an empty home after school. When the
school bell rings, the anxiety for parents often just begins. They worry
about whether their children are safe,
or whether they are
susceptible to drugs
and crime. In response to this pressing concern, many
communities have
created after-school programs to keep
children and youth out of trouble and
engaged in activities that help them
learn.
AKCCL provides after school care services to schools, parents, and children
in grades K-5 from
3pm to 6pm. We
have a certified
teacher on staff, as
well as, additional
tutors and volunteers who assist our students in maximizing their academic potential.. The
program focuses on assisting and developing students reading and math skills.
In addition to the academic program,
students are also given the opportunity
to participate in structured activities
and special educational programs that
promote healthy development. Students are also provide snacks during the
there 3 hour program. Parents can be
sure that there child are in good hands.
