Marketing Specialist – Contract Based (6 month) We are looking for a dynamic, youth-focused, cutting-edge marketing professional with a can-do attitude to join the Yahoo HK marketing team. The HK marketing team drives our efforts across the organization to build the most efficient, innovative, seamless marketing programs aligning with the company directions and business objectives. The team diversely focuses on leading cross-functional projects by creating and executing successful go-to-market strategies to grow our market share and to enable our functional teams to hit their targets. The team also leads cross-organizational projects and other strategic APAC regional and global priorities. This role reports to the Senior Consumer Marketing Manager, and will be the key anchor to take part in planning and devising marketing strategies for mobile bureau, works hand-in-hand with local Editorial, Communications and Research as well as local and ABU & Global Product teams to produce work that will reach millions of people. It also focused on strategic communications supporting Yahoo’s corporate communications efforts, specifically focused on telling the Yahoo business and culture story through effective written communications. This role requires the contributions of a strategic thinker who is also very detail-oriented and has the ability to juggle multiple projects at once. RESPONSIBILITIES • • • • • • • • • • • • Partner closely with the Audience and Insights teams to gather and share user insights to drive mobile product and creative development Develop core mobile product positioning based on in-depth understanding of the market and competitive landscape, and iterate as the product develops Drive go-to-market strategy for major releases, as well as ongoing communications for regular product updates Manage external advertising, digital and creative agency deliverables on deadline and within budget Design and execute marketing campaigns with the brand creative and consumer marketing teams and track and evaluate results Bring product insight and communication objectives into creative development, partner deals, and ongoing acquisition and retention programs Support global product marketing rollout, implementation, and KPI achievement aligned with business objectives and prioritization, such as Tumblr, Mail and various Mobile Apps. Ensure every campaign is measurable and present written reports and quarterly performance reviews to local stakeholders Support event marketing initiatives and work closely with various marketing team functions including B2B, Insights to proactively create opportunities for joint partnership/business opportunities Actively engage in social media channels to build brand awareness, implement social marketing strategies, engage with social bloggers, influencers and existing users and acquire new users to drive them to our Yahoo products Monitoring effective benchmarks for measuring the growth of our community, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of each marketing program Track performance and conversion rates, and optimize campaigns and tactics to improve results EXPERIENCES & SKILLS • • • • • • • • • University degree or above with major in BBA, Marketing, Business, e-Commerce or related disciplines such as Advertising, Communications, Multimedia…etc., with a passion and interest in the Internet/Media industry Hands on experience in digital marketing including SEM/SEO, CRM programs, social media campaign…etc. Fascinated with digital trends, a keen curiosity and willingness to learn about online and social marketing across various platforms Solid experience in building website traffic and driving audience development initiatives such as affiliate partnership marketing programs Familiar with digital analytic & media tracking tools Experience at a media company, portal or agency is definite advantage A strong team player with excellent organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English and Mandarin Knowledge of html and basic web design including Photoshop, AI and Flash a big plus COMPETENCIES • • • • • • • Spirited collaborator in a fast-paced, high output environment Ability to adapt to a changing environment quickly and easily Self-starter able to work both independently and also as a team player Ability to manage multiple daily tasks, as well as, long-term strategic projects Ability to extract salient information from multiple sources and synthesize information A strong creative eye, superb written, visual and verbal presentation skills Experience working with international teams a plus Please send your CV to [email protected] by May 8, 2015
