Happy Spring, Bulldog Parents,
It is hard to believe we have begun our last 9 week period for this
year. There are lots of fun things planned for the last full month of school.
Birkes will recognize its volunteers at the VIPS Tea on May 27th at 2:30 in
our library. CFISD also has their annual VIPS Appreciation Luncheon at the
Berry Center on May 21st. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be
recognized.
The Art Department is still needing paper towel rolls (used, cardboard
only), toilet paper rolls and empty water bottles. Please send with your child
or drop off at Birkes. Thanks for your support!
Biz Town for our 5th graders will be May 20th and 21st. Our fantastic
yearbook arrives in May. We also have our Spring Skate Night on May 28th
from 6-8pm. All students need to register at the door so their teacher gets
credit for their attendance. What teacher will get the honor of displaying the
“Golden Skate”???
We will also be partnering with Clay’s Restaurant for Birkes’ very
first Spirit Night on May 13th! Be on the lookout for more details coming
home soon!
Please link your Target card and your Kroger card to Birkes. Also, clip
and bag (25 or 50 a bag) Box Tops and send through backpacks or drop off in
the Box Tops Mailbox in the Birkes lobby. We will start submitting Community
Coffee labels soon so send those in as well!!!
We appreciate all your support so far this school year! We cannot do
all we do without each of you! If you wish to help in some way, please get in
touch with one of us. We would love to have you involved. Please submit
your PTO Board Nomination form ASAP. Be on the lookout for the
Chairperson nomination forms coming home soon!

May 26 – 29 (Tuesday - Friday)
Anytime between 9:00 am – 2:00 pm the library needs help with inventory and shelving books,
as all library books will be returned the previous week. You are more than welcome to stop
by whenever you have some free time to help out. Please be sure to check in at the front
desk and let them know you are there to help in the library.
Thanks you for all your continued support and help! We truly couldn’t make these events
