AN INTRODUCTION
Little acorns grow to mighty oaks. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan founded by Dr. K.M.Munshi on 7th
November,1938 with the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi and other national leaders has grown from
very small beginning to a world-wide intellectual, cultural and educational movement. It stands for
preservation and propagation of Bharatiya Sanskriti (Indian culture) world-wide. Now it is having
about 120 centers (Kendras) in India and overseas centers at New York, London, Sydney, Kuwait,

The main purpose of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is to provide a modern bridge to span the past, the
present and the future, built on the strong foundation of the fundamental values of life. Its ideal is:
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam- the world is one family. Its motto is: Aa no Bhadraah kratavo yanthu
viswatah - let noble thoughts come to us from every side.
The Bhavan is running various educational and cultural institutions including Schools, Colleges,
Cultural centers etc. that are reputed for its excellence world over. In order to run these institutions in
meritorious scale, Bhavan selects best talents who are having faith in values and in Bhavan’s mission of
propagation of Indian culture and deputes them as its employees.
The world is changing fast. Globalisation is opening up opportunities world-wide. English is the
language of international communication. ‘Survival of the fittest’ has become a rule world over.
Excellence only can be the foundation of success. Our students shall not fail in the world of competition
lacking excellence. So we are committed for uncompromising excellence in all academic matters.
Teachers are having the pivotal role in achieving the excellence. So we give very much importance to
our teachers. As Swami Chidbhavananda said, “…The worth and potentialities of a country get
evaluated in and through the work of the teacher. A country is nothing more and nothing less than the
teacher who is its builder. Indeed, the people of a land are the enlarged replica of their teacher. The
progress, stagnation or deterioration in a society is directly or indirectly traceable to the mettle in the
teacher. The teacher is the real nation builder. In direct proportion to the part he plays and the
influence he exerts, people come up. The first charge on an enlightened society therefore is the
selection of the right men for the teaching profession.”
Bhavan’s Sikshan Bharati, the body that supervises Bhavan’s Schools spread all over India and abroad
is conducting annual evaluation of all its Schools. Bhavan’s School at Ramanattukara is the Second best
and the School at Thirunavaya is the ninth. We have to maintain the standard without compromise.
Keeping in mind these high objectives, we are looking for efficient and energetic Gurus, fluent in
English, proud in Indian culture and finding pleasure in inspiring and moulding tender hearts and
guiding curious minds that are willing for dedicated, result-oriented service and having sufficient
nectar of love to part with all our academic family. They will be the real Shilpies of our schools. This is
an objective we cannot afford to compromise. So, we insist that canvassing in any form will be
counted as disqualification.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. In order to conduct the selection process, the Ramanattukara Kendra and Thirunavaya Kendra of
Bhavan are joining hands. The selected candidates will be appointed at the Schools under these
Kendras i.e. at Bhavan’s Vidyashram, Chelembra or at Bhavan’s School, Thirunavaya.
2. The Schools at Ramanattukara and Thirunavaya will require teachers in all the subjects for the
vacancies existing and that may arise during academic year 2015-16 onwards.
3. A Rank list of the toppers will be prepared for each subject and it will have validity for 2 years, if
not exhausted.
4. Minimum Qualification: PG / Deg. + B.Ed. / TTC + CTET / SET (as applicable) [Candidates passed
Elementary Teacher course (TTC) able to teach in English will be considered for LP Section] .
Recognised Pre-primary or Montessori trained hands having graduation can apply for the post of
teachers at kindergarten. LPRT means Lower Primary Teacher, PRT means Primary teacher and
TGT means Trained graduate teacher. Appointments will be made as the need arises to the
category available.
5. Subjects: English/ Maths/ Social.Sc./ Physics/ Malayalam/ Physical Edn.
6. Remuneration: The appointed candidates, on confirmation will be given State Scale with EPF and
ESI.
7. Keep the Introduction and Instructions pages (page 5 & 6) with you and send only the application
(Pages 1 to 4) and testimonials to the Director before the last date.
8. Before sending the application, ascertain that you have enclosed all testimonials including the
mark lists and marked the Check List.
9. Application forms are downloadable from http://www.bvbramanattukara.org
10. A recently taken passport size photo shall be affixed in the Application at top where space is
provided.
11. The Email ID [19(a) & (b) of the application] and phone numbers shall be correct and legible
because the communications will be by Email and phone only. The email ID is asked to rewrite in
Capital letters only to avoid probable error in reading the small letters.
Applications in the downloaded format (page 1 to 4 only) duly filled and attached with self
attested Photostat copies of all the mark sheets and Certificates from SSLC onwards shall reach the
