April 5 & 19 Art in the Park: 10-4pm. Offered the 1st and 3rd
Sunday of each month. Held at Spreckels Park, between 6th and 7th
Street and Orange Ave. Local artists show and sell their talents.
April 7 Pamina Wine Dinner with Chef Fred Piehl of The

April 11 Coronado Soroptimist Gala at the Coronado
Marriott Resort and Spa. Proceeds benefit education for women
and girls to overcome adversity, domestic violence and human
trafficking. Local ‘Legends’ will also be honored at the event.

April 16 Empty Bowls: 5-6pm, at Coronado High School. Purchase
a ceramic bowl made by a high school student for $10, fill it with soup
for $20. Proceeds benefit Empty Bowls and international effort to fight

April 18 & 19 90th Annual Coronado Flower Show:
Sat. 1pm-4pm & Sun 10am-4pm. The largest tented flower show in the
nation. Various displays are on exhibit with continuous entertainment
and beer garden. Event is held at Spreckels Park located on Orange Ave.
between 6th and 7th Avenues. Admission is $5, children under 12 are

April 18 Coronado Spring Fling, Flappers and Flowers:
6:30-9:30pm. The event will feature live entertainment, food samplings
from 25 local restaurants, local craft beer and fine wine. Wear 1920’s
dress or Coronado Casual. Non-members $65, members $40.

April 26 Motocars on Mainstreet, 10am-3pm, the 25th Annual
Coronado MainStreet Car Show, featuring over 400 restored classic, hot
rod and custom cars & trucks. The event takes place between Rotary
Plaza and Star Park adjacent to the Coronado Visitor Center at 1100

Throughout 2015 - Balboa Park Centennial
Celebration: 100 years ago, in honor of the completion of
the Panama Canal, the people of San Diego came together to host a

Families
Junior Rangers & Nature Tours at Silver Strand State Beach
– Kids age 7 to 12. Eco-activities: walks, presentations, games,
investigations, art, and more! Most Saturdays at 3:30pm. Kids can earn
the Junior Ranger badge and other awards as they progress through
the activities. Nature Walk Sundays 1:30pm-2: 30pm at Silver Strand
State Beach. Look for animals and plants in various habitats of the
state beach. Meet outside lifeguard headquarters at 5000 Highway 75,
Coronado; look for the tall tower on the ocean side of the highway.
