The NRP Provider Course is an international curriculum that lays the foundation of
knowledge and skills so that health professionals can build increasing resuscitation
proficiency. The NRP is endorsed by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada
and the Canadian Paediatric Society. PLEASE NOTE: Completion of the NRP
does not imply that an individual has the competence to perform neonatal
resuscitation. Each hospital is responsible for determining the level of competence
and qualifications required for an individual to assume clinical responsibility for
neonatal resuscitation.

Specific Registrant Requirements
Between April 5 and May 5, 2015 must complete the
HealthStream, 6th edition online exam. The Canadian
Pediatric Society has partnered with HealthStream, an
online learning provider, to host the Canadian online exam.
All NRP® Instructor trainers, Instructors and Providers are
required to take this learning provider version and edition.
No other learner “verification” or “certification” cards will
be accepted.
A print copy of proof of successful completion (verification
of completion certificate) must be presented at the
Provider course.
The fee for the online course cost ($23.50 USD) is the
responsibility of the registrant.
The Textbook for Neonatal Resuscitation (6th Edition)
can be purchased from The University of Calgary Medical

including Provider courses and Instructor

GUIDELINES FOR THE AMERICAN
ACADEMY OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS
Members of the American Academy of Family
Physicians are eligible to receive up to 6.0
prescribed credit hours for attendance at this
meeting/event due to a reciprocal agreement
with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
AMA-PRA CATEGORY 1 CREDIT
Through an agreement between the Royal
College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
and The American Medical Association,
physicians may convert Royal College MOC
credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Information on the process to convert Royal
College MOC credit to AMA credit can be found

clothing that can be layered are recommended
since temperature in the venue may fluctuate.

to cancel the course if there are insufficient
registrations.

In general, each course offers a light breakfast,
nutrition break(s) and lunch. We are unable to
accommodate special dietary restrictions (for
example, gluten free, peanut allergies).

To ensure the comfort of everyone attending
this event, we ask you to not wear scented
products.
CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION
On-line registration confirmation is automatic
after registering on-line. A tax receipt will be
sent approximately 2 weeks after registering.
For all other methods of registration (mail, fax)
confirmation will be in the form of a tax receipt.
No other confirmation will be sent. Please allow
2 weeks for registration processing.
REFUND POLICY
A registration refund will be made upon written
request if made at least 2 weeks before the start
of the program. However $50 will be retained
for administrative costs. No refunds will be
available for cancellations made within 2 weeks
of the start of the program and thereafter.
NOTE: Refunds are processed only on the return
of original receipt. All receipts must be returned
within 30 days after program date.
