INSTALLATION AND SETUP HANDBOOK
OF PAYU LATAM’S PLUGIN FOR MAGENTO
1. Requisites

Have an active account in PayU Latam.
Have installed Magento version 1.7.
2. Installation

Before installing the plugin, disable the cache of Magento. In order to do that, go to
System > Cache Management, select all caches. In the drop-down list at the top right
select the "Disable" option, then click the "Submit" button to the right.

Download PayU’s plugin for Magento, available in this section.

Unzip the plugin-magento-1.2-zip file. The unzipped folder is called "app" and contains:

Copy the "Gfgrisales" folder located in "app/code/local" within the "local" folder in the root of
Magento installation, which is in the "app/code" folder. If the "local" folder does not exist in the
path of Magento, you must create it and then copy the listed files. Make sure all the folders are all
read/write enabled.

Now copy the "payu" folder of the "app / design / frontend / base / default / template / payu"
path of the decompressed file, inside of the "app / design / frontend / base / default / template"
folder located inthe root of the Magento installation.

The last file to be copied is "Gfgrisales_Payu.xml" located in "app / etc / modules" of the
uncompressed file. This must be copied into the "app / etc / modules" folder, located in the root
of the Magento installation.

Configuration of the PayU Latam payment means:
1. Enter the Magento administrator and go to the System> Configuration> Advanced> Advanced
menu. Click on "Disabled Modules Output" and enable PayU’s extension called "Gfgrisales_Payu".
2. Then, while being in Setup, click "Sales> Payment Methods" where PayU’s payment
method should appear. To display the tab click on it.

3. Complete each of the fields according to the data from your PayU Latam account:

ID of the shop in PayU Latam.
Secure Key
This is provided by PayU and is unique to
the shop (ApiKey).
Account ID
Country’s account ID.

PayU’s URL. To test you can use the
https://stg.gateway.payulatam.com/pppweb-gateway URL and for production

Transaction Mode
Indicates if transactions will be made in
test mode.
4. Finally save the configuration.
Now your customers can pay through PayU when checking the shopping cart out.

Finally, by clicking on "Place Order", magento will redirect the client to PayU’s payment
gateway.
