Overview
The Optimal Payments Magento extension allows ecommerce businesses to
securely accept and process online payments using Optimal’s NETBANX payment
gateway and services. The integration is easy to implement and provides the
ultimate in payment processing capabilities, fraud management, and reporting.
The Optimal Payments extension uses Silent Post integration to the merchant’s
website. During checkout, payment information is entered on the merchant website
and then transmitted securely via Silent Post for processing to the NETBANX
payment gateway. The customer remains on the merchant’s website at all times
allowing the merchant to manage the customer experience. When the customer
clicks on the Pay button, payment data is transmitted directly to NETBANX using a
PCI-compliant process without accessing any merchant servers.
This integration significantly reduces PCI compliance requirements and liability as all
of the credit card information is processed in Optimal Payments Level 1 PCI
compliant environment and servers leaving no sensitive customer payment
information stored locally on merchant servers.
Through the Optimal integration merchants also have the option to enable
ThreatMetrix fraud detection and management services. ThreatMetrix works by
collecting relevant data about the customer and the order, and validating this
information during the checkout. Fully integrated into the NETBANX payment
gateway, enabling the ThreatMetrix option will allow merchants to automatically
hold and flag suspicious orders, drastically reducing any fraud occurrences.
Depending on the Score returned by ThreatMetrix an order can be held and flagged
or altogether denied during the checkout. And added benefit for merchants is that
this functionality to hold and release orders as well as issuing credits, refunds or
cancelling orders can all be managed directly through the Magento.

Installation
The Demac Media AffiliateTraction Extension Suite is available now on Magento
Connect as well as the Demac Media Product Page.

All individual modules will be bundled into the main install with the option to enable
or disable as required. The install of this extension (via FTP) is the same as the
majority of modules that are available on Magento Connect.
For the particular package Optimal.1.5.zip you will need to:

Extract the files inside the 0.1.5/ directory in your Magento root. This can be
done with an FTP program such as FileZilla.
•
Flush your Magento cache under System > Cache Management > Flush Cache
Magento Cache.

Re-login to the Magento administrative backend.

ThreatMetrix Configuration
ThreatMetrix is extremely easy to setup the only information required is the
Organization Id which can be obtained directly from the Optimal Payments support
team at [email protected] or your account manager. Please note that
ThreatMetrix is a third party service provided by Optimal Payments and will include
extra fees outside of your standard transaction fees.

Troubleshooting FAQ
Q: I want to be able to accept and charge both CAD and USD, how do I do this?
A: As with all Magento payment modules, the gateway is only configurable at the
WEBSITE scope. If you want to collect and charge in specific currencies, there will
need to be a WEBSITE store scope for each.
Q: ThreatMetrix is not sending any information to Optimal Payments.
A: This might happen if the ThreatMetrix tracking code is not being included
properly, the most common reason for this issue is that the store template does not
properly extend the default theme or that you have a third party checkout
extension. To solve this issues please contact [email protected] to
look into our support options.
Q: I do not have an API Key.
A: Please contact [email protected] and request an API key for your
silent post integration. You will need to specify your merchant account number,
your merchant name, and you must be an authorized contact on the account.
Q: Where can I see my transactions in Optimal Payments?
A: You can access the Optimal Payments back end at https://login.netbanx.com,
please use the username and password that was provided with your merchant
account information. Should you require another username or password, please
contact our Merchant Services at [email protected] or call
