INFORMATION MEETING FOR APPLICANTS CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 2016 - DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH NEPAL The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark hereby invites potential applicants for development research grants to an information meeting in Kathmandu concerning the Call 2016. Representatives and researchers from universities and other research institutions in the private and public sectors throughout Nepal are invited. Background Information Since 2008 Denmark has, in addition to supporting North-driven development research projects, supported South-driven development research projects on a pilot basis. The South-driven approach has since 2014 been institutionalised in three of the of the Danida priority countries; Ghana, Tanzania, and Nepal. In the South-driven approach the institutions in the South take the lead in defining the projects, selecting Danish research partners, and managing the research projects.
