Know the different types of computer languages. Understand the importance of internet and Use of computer Unit – 1 Concepts of Computer: Introduction, advantages and applications of computer. Block diagram of computer and explanation of each section in the block diagram. Types of computers. (9 Periods) Unit – 2 Computer Software: System software, Utility software and Application software - meaning with examples. (9 Periods) Programming Language: High level and Low level programming language – meaning with examples. Internet: Meaning, advantages and applications of internet and Email Unit – 3 Note: Separate computer practice should be provided in the laboratory as below 1. Identify the different parts of the computer. 2. Demonstrate the connection of peripheral devices (Keyboard, mouse, display, printer etc.,) to the computer. 3. Turn On (Booting process) and Turn off (Shutting down process) of the computer. 4. Create a folder and a file, copy and cut operations on files. 5. Create a leave letter using word document. 6. Create a worksheet to show different arithmetic operations. 7.
