Come along after school and join a group of enthusiastic and motivated students who are aiming to do well this year. You can access peer tutoring, one on one help from subject teachers and also get Tongan language and Samoan language tutoring. The centre operates every Wednesday from 3.30pm to 5pm. See you there. General SADD MEETING: D14 Today lunchtime (zRAM) There is a meeting in D14 at lunch today for all those who want to attend and make a change! All are welcome! General HUMANITARIAN GROUP: D1 Today lunchtime (zRAM) Women helping women. Do you care? There is a humanitarian group meeting today at lunchtime in D1. New members are welcome. See how you can help others in need. General BOOK CLUB: L10 Friday lunchtime (zRAM) Book Club is starting up this term, with our first meeting this Friday in L10 in the library. General Notices All MATHS HELP All (SPE) Come to D7 at lunchtimes on Tuesdays or Wednesdays for help with Maths at any level. All welcome. It's a good place to eat your lunch and get your homework done. All Orienteering Relay Championships All (ROL) Just a reminder to get your permission slips in to Ms Roberts before the end of this week preferably as I have to send entries in by Friday this week. The event is on Thursday 30th April. Careers University of Otago Careers (zYOU) Careers (MKS) Year 13 students - The University of otago will be here today in period 3, DSO. Careers Tutor Wanted Wanted: A Year 13 student able to tutor a Year 11 student in Maths and Science with a focus on her gaining at Achieved level. Patience and encouragement are the key qualities. Student's home in Western Springs. 4 hours per week in 2 sessions with times to be negotiated. Flexibility around tutor's own assessments. $20 per hour. If you signed up for the 13 weeks last term you are guaranteed a place. If you only signed up for 4 weeks you will need to re-register and the 9 week cost will be $30. Your instructor is Sarah Stanley, a fully qualified Classical Pilates instructor with a Professional Certificate from Peak Pilates. Classical Pilates is based on Joseph Pilates original exercise routines, aiming to develop strength, stamina and flexibility. Classes follow a set pattern and over time, progress from basic to more advanced exercises. Sarah’s training included the study of Anatomy and Physiology and she is actively involved in sport. She teaches Pilates in 2 Auckland studios and is qualified to teach both mat and equipment sessions. Please come to the Sports Office to register - limited to the first 15 to pay. 20/4/2015 7:12 am
