FREE Financial Literacy Classes
Are you looking to improve your financial skills? The SOURCE along with
Flagstar Bank are providing Free Financial Literacy classes for the Fall. During the
class, program par cipants may open a Personal Development Savings Account
through Flagstar Bank and earn up to $150 due to Flagstar’s matching 50¢ for
every dollar you save. Earn extra money while you save and improve your
financial skills!
The program is held over the course of 8 weeks and par cipants can enroll in
one of two classes:

Saturdays beginning September 10 – October 29,
2016 from 10:00 – 11:30 AM

Looking for a way to beat the Summer
heat?
Summer is here and public pools in Grand Rapids for individuals and families
are now open and will remain open everyday until August 28, closing only on
Monday, July 4th. Three area pools include Briggs Park, Martin Luther King
Jr., and Richmond Park. Pool admission this summer for Grand Rapids
residents costs $2 for adults and $1 for children under
18. Non-city residents pay $4. All children under age 1
are free. Punch cards and Family Pool Passes are
also available for Grand Rapids residents only. The
SOURCE can provide more information and can help
all ages sign up for swim lessons or those interested
can visit the City of Grand Rapids website.

What: This event is perfect for babies aged 0 – 18 months. The guided tour
with GRAM staff will be followed by complimentary coffee, juice, fruit, and
adult conversation. The tour will meet at the guest services desk in the lobby.

Important 2016 Election Dates
With the federal and state elections just around the corner, it is important to
know registration deadlines:
State Primary Election—August 2, 2016: July 5 is the last day to
register to vote in order to participate in the August State Primary Election.
General Election—November 8, 2016: October
11 is the last day to register to vote in order to
participate in the November General Election.
