JR HIGH BOYS BASEBALL RULES A. B. C. D. E. THE HOME TEAM WILL PROVIDE THE OFFICIAL SCORER. THE HOME TEAM WILL PROVIDE A COPY OF THE RULES TO THE UMPIRE. EACH COACH TO PAY UMPIRE BEFORE THE GAME. NO STEEL SPIKES. NO EXECPTIONS 2 HOUR TIME LIMIT (NO INNING CAN START AFTER 1:55) INTERNATIONAL TIE BREAKER FOR 1 INNING. PLACE LAST OUT ON 2ND BASE WITH NOBODY OUT. IF GAME IS TIED AFTER 1 EXTRA INNING THE GAME IS OVER. F. DOUBLEHEADERS WILL BE 1 ½ HOUR TIME LIMIT. G. A PARENT OR YOUNG ADULT MAY UMPIRE IF NEEDED. ALL GAMES WILL BE PLAYED WITH MHSAA RULES WITH THE FOLLOWING EXECPTIONS: 1. PITCHING RUBBER 60FT 6 INCHES BASES 90 FT. 2. FREE SUBSTITUTIONS WILL BE USED AS WELL AS A COURTESY RUNNER FOR PITCHER/ CATCHER. LAST OUT. 3. THE TEAM AHEAD MAY ONLY SCORE 6 RUNS IN AN INNING. THE TEAM BEHIND MAY SCORE AS MANY RUNS AS IT TAKES TO BECOME 6 RUNS AHEAD. 4. NO PITCHER MAY THROW A CURVE BALL. 1 ST IS A WARNING EACH TIME AFTER WILL BE CALLED A BALL. A PITCHER CAN NOT PITCH MORE THAN 10 INNINGS IN A THREE DAY SPAN. 5. EACH TEAM WILL BAT THE ENTIRE BENCH. 6. BALKS WILL NOT BE CALLED, BUT A WARNING FROM UMPIRE WILL BE ISSUED. 7. BATS MUST SAY LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL OR HAVE BPF STAMP 8. DROP 3RD STRIKE IS PLAYED AS HIGH SCHOOL RULE. 9. 10 RUN MERCY RUN IS IN EFFECT AFTER 4 ½ OR 5 INNINGS. 10.ALL PLAYERS AND COACHES MUST BE IN THE DUGOUT AREA DURING THE GAME.
