At the heart of my work is an exploration of what it means to be human, how we
experience story and use it in different ways. I have worked on a wide variety
of projects as a visual artist; studying ‘human-ness’ through imaginative,
playful eyes has enabled me to create work that people love and connect with.

ANIMATION
Googly (June 2014 - April 2015)
A short, animated film funded by Ideas Tap, my role was as the director
and lead animator working with the writer and a team of 15 creative people. I was responsible for coordinating the animation and sound, storyboarding, character design, compositing and post production. Animated using ToonBoom Studio and Adobe After Effects.
Clockpunk Ident (March 2015)
Ident for the production company Clockpunk Films using their existing branding, animated using a combination of motion graphics in Adobe After Effects and hand drawn 2D animation.
One Last Push (August 2014)
Compositing and effects including shadows using Adobe After Effects for an animated documantary for Disability History Scotland. Directed by Hannah Robinson, animated by Claire Lamond and produced by Muckle Hen.
Rose (March - June 2014)
Hand drean 2D animated ident for The Rose Theatre in Seattle, post production and coulour using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. Close Your Eyes (August - September 2013)
Chalk animation to acompany an extract of a novel written by Ewan Morrison, created for the Scottish Book Awards, produced by KoLik Films.
Red Kite Animation (July 2013)
Work experience alongside the production team developing a trailer and making assets using Adobe Photoshop for a new children’s TV series and creating title cards for CBBC show Dennis the Menace.
Man with a Plan (July - Sptember 2012)
Music Video for The Button Men, paper cut-out animation and composited backgrounds created in Adobe After Effects and Final Cut Pro.

Visual effects including steam and smoke for an animated short directed by Claire Lamond for The National Mining Museum.
Hannah and the Moon (september 2011 - May 2012)
Writer, director and animator of the animated children’s short, using hand drawn animation and text alongside Adobe Photoshop and After Effects to create an animated picture book. Winner of 2 BAFTA New Talent awards.
Rock Opera (March - April 2011)
Assistant animator on Rock Opera, a short educational children’s film for Hoda Productions. Animated in Adobe After Effects.

At Media Education, Edinburgh. Working with a group of 15 young people to develop, film and edit their short film ideas.
Animation Tutor (September 2014 - January 2015)
With Frontiere’s Film based at Media Education, Edinburgh. Working with a goup of 20 young people to create two short films combining live action and animation techniques.

Visiting Tutor (April 2013)

I have led animation masterclasses with groups of 10-15 children at Dundee
Discovery Film Festival, Whale Arts in Edinburgh and Tokyo Kinder Film Festival
using 2D puppet animation and drawn flip books.
