Koreanische Teilnahme an Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank verkündet
Die koreanische Regierung hat in der vergangenen Woche verkündet, an der von China geleiteten AIIB (Asian
Infrastructure Investment Bank) teilzunehmen. Korea und die 33 weiteren Teilnehmerstaaten werden bis Juni
2015 einen Text für das Abkommen ausarbeiten. (Korea Economic Daily, 27. März 2015)
Unterstützung von Infrastrukturprojekten in Mittel- und Südamerika
Anlässlich der Jahresversammlung der Inter-American Development Bank hat der koreanische Finanzminister
Choi Kyung-Hwan die Unterstützung von Infrastrukturprojekten in Mittel-und Südamerika mit insgesamt 1,1
Mrd. USD bekannt gegeben. (Korea Economic Daily, 30. März 2015)
Verzinsung von Unternehmensanleihen unter zwei Prozent
Die Zinsen von Unternehmensanleihen sanken erstmals unter die Ein-Prozent-Marke. Hyundai Oil Bank gab
letzten Freitag Unternehmensanleihen mit einem Zinssatz von 1,976% in Höhe von 70 Mrd. Won (64 Mio.
USD) aus. Die Anleihen werden nach drei Jahren fällig. (Korea Economic Daily, 31. März 2015)
Jahresausgleich für Krankenkassenbeiträge wird aufgehoben
Die Regierungspartei Saenuri und das koreanische Gesundheitsministerium haben sich darauf geeinigt, das
Jahresausgleichssystem für die Krankenkassenbeiträge umzustrukturieren. Bisher wurden die
Krankenkassenbeiträge einmal im Jahr für das jeweilige abgelaufene Jahr ausgeglichen. Ab 2016 sollen sie
im jeweiligen Monat je nach der Höhe der Gehälter und Löhne bezahlt werden. (Maeil Business Newspaper,

Lone Star: Klage gegen Korea
Vom 15.-24. Mai wird beim International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes in Washington ein
Schiedsgerichtsverfahren über Investor-Staat-Streitigkeiten zwischen der koreanische Regierung und Lone
Star stattfinden. Der Kläger ist LSF-KEB Holdings, Tochtergesellschaft von Lone Star, die mit dem Zweck
eines Anteilserwerbs an der Korea Exchange Bank gegründet worden war. Das Unternehmen klagt auf eine
Zahlung in Höhe von 4.378,6 Mio. USD. Es behauptet, dass ein Verlust in Höhe von zwei Bill. Won (ca. zwei
Mrd. USD) dadurch entstanden ist, dass die koreanische Regierung den Vertrag mit HSBC über den Verkauf
eines Anteils von 51,02% an der KEB nicht genehmigt hat. (Maeil Business Newspaper, 30. März 2015)
LG: Eröffnung einer Produktionsanlage in Vietnam
LG Electronics hat am letzten Freitag die Einweihung einer neuen Fabrikanlage mit einer Gesamtfläche von
0,8 Mio. m² in der vietnamesischen Stadt Hai Phong gefeiert. LG plant, bis 2028 weitere 1,5 Mrd. USD in die
Erweiterung der Anlage zu investieren. In der Fabrik sollen Smartphones, Fernseher, Autoteile etc. produziert

LG Chemical: Batterielieferungen an Daimler
LG Chemical hat am Montag mit Daimler einen Vertrag zur langfristigen Lieferung von Batteriezellen für
den Elektro-Smart unterschrieben, der 2016 auf den Markt kommen soll. (Maeil Business Newspaper, 31.
März 2015)
KAI: Auftragserteilung für Bau von Kampfflugzeug
Die koreanische Regierung hat am Montag Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) als bevorzugten Bieter für die
Entwicklung des Kampfflugzeuges KF-X ausgewählt. Die Entwicklungskosten werden voraussichtlich acht Bill.
Won (7,3 Mrd. USD) betragen. Zusammen mit den Fertigungskosten von 120 KF-X werden die Gesamtkosten
des Projektes bei 18,1 Bill. Won (ca. 16 Mrd. USD) liegen. (Korea Economic Daily, 31. März 2015)
LG Chemical: Ausbau von Polarisierungsplattenfertigung
LG Chemical gab am Dienstag bekannt, 100 Mio. USD für den Ausbau der Fertigungsanlage von
Polarisieurngsplatten in der chinesischen Stadt Nanjing zu investieren. Dadurch wird die
Produktionskapazität der Anlage von 40 Mio. m² auf 64 Mio. m² steigen. (Korea Economic Daily, 01. April

Samsung, LG: Verfahren beigelegt
Samsung Electronics und Samsung Display haben sich mit LG Electronics und LG Display auf eine
Beilegung aller rechtshängigen Verfahren geeinigt. Damit werden fünf Rechtsstreitigkeiten beendet,
einschließlich eines Prozesses über die Beschädigung von Waschmaschinen, der im letzten Jahr für
Aufmerksamkeit gesorgt hatte. (Maeil Business Newspaper, 01. April 2015)
