The tennis season is in full swing! USTA teams are taking to the courts and we have a full
calendar of tennis events.
Upcoming events include:
Kurt and Jason have 2 days a week of TRX Tennis classes. Thursday at 11:30am and
Saturday at 8:00am, call the front desk to sign up.
Nevada State Junior Open Tournament June 6-7
Lakeridge Mixed Doubles Club Championship June 19-20
Coldwell Banker Select Group $4000 Open & NTRP Tournament
(Lakeridge was voted Tournament of the Year in the 3.5 & 4.5 divisions for 2014)
World Team Tennis Tournament August 14-16.
We are starting the court resurfacing the first week in May. The workers will be taking on
three courts at a time. We will be short those courts for reservations. Please be patient
while we are going through this process!
Junior Tennis News
We are hosting two junior tournaments
this year, the Lakeridge Junior Compass
Tournament May 2-3 and the Nevada
State Junior Open Tournament June 6-7.
Local tournaments are a great way for
your child to gain vital playing
experience. Please support our
tournaments and enter your junior
player!
This summer junior camps are due to
begin the week of June 15th. You can sign
up for the camps as the sports desk.

Friday, July 17
Match play begins. Size of the draw determines start of match play on Friday.
Player Welcome Party begins at 5:30 pm. We will have complimentary tap beer and snacks for paid
participants and guests. Come early and enjoy watching some open match play.
Saturday, July 18
Continental breakfast at 7:30 am. Matches begin at 8:00 am.
All players must check in at the registration desk at least 15 minutes before their matches begin.
Saturday night Lakeridge’s own Center Court Grill will host the Player Party with a Grand Slam Buffet
featuring New York Steak and Roasted Pacific Salmon. Each player will receive two free draft beer/soda
tickets. We will be giving away a 2 night stay at the Peppermill Hotel and Casino at the Player Party. You
must be present to win.
Sunday, July 19
The Tournament will resume with match play starting at 9:00 am. Awards will be given at the conclusion
of play. We will have ball boys and girls for the open finals.
