Parents and Guardians of graduating seniors,
Thirteen years of attending school and all of a sudden our seniors only have a few weeks left! And as we
approach the end of school for seniors and ultimately graduation, it is time to celebrate our final days of
school together, and with that comes a lot of information. Please note the items below and the schedule
of events.
Graduation Announcements/Caps and Gowns/etc.
These items that have not been picked up are available in the main office, assuming your son or daughter
placed the proper order. We do not have extra announcements to purchase at school. Any student who
needs to order any graduation supplies needs to place the order directly with Jostens at 269-321-0809.
Your contact person is Mr. Jim Ross and he may also be contacted at [email protected]. Time is
running out so please make contact ASAP.
Exams/Last Day of School
Exams will begin on May 21st. The morning will be a regular school day and the afternoon will be exams
for 4th, 5th and 6th hours. May 22nd will be the seniors last official day of school with 1st, 2nd and 3rd hour
exams. Students are only allowed to be in the building for exams or Commencement Portraits.
All e2020 (virtual classes) are required to be completed by May 22nd @ 11:59 p.m.
Commencement Portraits (NEW THIS YEAR)
We are asking EVERY senior to get photographed in their cap and gown for a Commencement Composite
of the Class of 2015. Lifetouch is going to be here Friday, May 22nd from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Each
graduate will be photographed separately and then a composite will be created from the individual
portraits. There is no cost to be included in the composite. If you choose to order individual poses or the
group composite, payment & orders will be accepted at time portraits are taken. Online orders will also
be accepted. See insert for more details.
Graduation Practice
SENIORS WHO DO NOT ATTEND OR ARRIVE ON TIME FOR MANDATORY
GRADUATION PRACTICE ON FRIDAY, MAY 29th WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN
THE GRADUATION CEREMONY, NO EXCEPTIONS.
The graduation practice will take place at Ratcliffe Field this year on Friday May 29th. Practice begins at
10:00 a.m. and should end at 2:00 with lunch provided. In case of inclement weather practice will be held
in the high school gymnasium without lunch. Graduation tickets will be distributed at the end of practice.
All obligations need to be settled with the main office in order to receive graduation tickets. Students
will receive 2 gold tickets and 4 purple tickets. The gold tickets are for seating on the field nearest the
graduates. The purple are for general admission. There is plenty of seating available in the stands for all
family and friends, but if we are forced indoors to the high school gymnasium, students will be limited to
the six total tickets. Please contact Mrs. Cooper at 637-0593 if you have any questions about tickets.
Baccalaureate Service
A Baccalaureate service will take place on Wednesday, May 27th at 7:00 p.m. at Hope Reformed Church
1365 Monroe Boulevard, South Haven. This is a voluntary church service for the graduates which will be
organized, planned, and performed by the senior class. All seniors and families are invited. This is a
formal occasion. Please wear graduation gown and stole but no caps. Students should arrive at the
church no later than 6:45 p.m. This is not a school organized event.

any additional honors they have received. Gentlemen should wear a collared shirt, dress pants and dress

Only students fulfilling the requirements for graduation as of May 22nd at 11:59 p.m. will be eligible to
participate in the graduation ceremony. Social issues/discipline that may take place between now and
graduation could result in the loss of the privilege to take part in the ceremony.
In the event of inclement weather, graduation will be held in the high school gymnasium. A district-wide
phone call to communicate a change in venue if necessary. Seniors would report to Listiak Auditorium for
staging.
