Senior Information Packet 2015
Dear Class of 2015
All of you became Lions in the fall of 2011, the same school year that Mira
Monte would celebrate our first 4-year graduating class. Soon all of you will be
gathering on the same football field to celebrate your graduation in front of
friends and family as the 5th graduating class from Mira Monte High School. All
of the staff has been honored to have worked with all of you to reach this point
in your lives. I thank you for helping to establish a culture of Excellence,
Scholarship, Courage and Pride at Mira Monte for future graduating classes to
build upon. For the 4th year in a row 100 plus seniors were accepted to CSU
Bakersfield, more than any other high school in the district. This is an
accomplishment we are all proud of and will continue in coming graduating
classes.
The Class of 2015 has continued to build on traditions created by students
before you and worked to create new levels of achievement to challenge future
Lions. Our Fine Arts department has led the way with exceptional band and
choir performances, including State and National recognition. Service Clubs and
organizations gave back to the community through variety fundraisers,
donations, and civic causes. Academically you have worked tirelessly to increase
both our graduation rate and UC A-G percentage, and have prepared yourselves
to be productive citizens after graduation.
I am proud to have been your Principal and look forward to hearing about
your successes in the years to come. All of you were an integral part in helping
to establish our PRIDE culture and will continue to be leaders at Mira Monte as
Alumni.
Go Lions,
Jaime Quiñónez
