County Extension Education Association (EEA) Council recently
elected its 2016-17 council officers by acclimation.

At the 2016 Fayette County

also received a grand champion
ribbon.
The Fall Fayette County EEA
Salad Luncheon fundraiser is
scheduled for Oct. 21 from 11 a.m.
to 12:30 p.m. at the Homemakers
Building at the Fayette County
Fairgrounds in La Grange. The
cost is $8 per person.
Connie Sellers stated if any
club members have favorite salad
luncheon recipes to share, please
get them to the Texas A&M
AgriLife Extension Service of
Fayette County office or her as
soon as possible.
The goal is to have a cookbook
ready for the upcoming salad luncheon.
There will be a District 11 EEA
officers training conducted Nov.
15 at the Victoria 4-H Activity
Center.
The group also discussed the
2017 District 11 EEA Spring Conference to be held March 28, 2017,
in Victoria and 2017 State EEA
Conference Sept. 12 and 13, 2017,
at Horseshoe Bay in Marble Falls.
County Agent Sally Garrett
gave an update on 4-H activities
and awards. The county 4-H clubs
and members started a new 4-H
year on Oct. 1.
The meeting was attended by
two clubs (six members), two visitors and an agent.
