The Philippines is now entering a new chapter in retail. Gone are the days when the dominant forces were shopping malls. In the United States, almost all major malls and physical stores closed down. Sears closed down. Radioshack was bankrupted. Best Buy might follow the same path, and others are not doing well. Elsewhere, e-commerce is the best business to be in. Alibaba, the world’s largest e-commerce store is worth 200 billion dollars. Amazon trails by at 157 billion dollars. EBay is at 92 billion dollars. Uber, the company behind the taxi services app is worth 40 billion dollars. PLDT on the other hand, the largest company in the Philippines is only worth a mere 0.6 billion dollars. PLDT has been in the business for 87 years. Uber on the other hand is just 6 years old. Below is a snapshot of the global retail market. What is the secret behind this massive growth in the e-commerce industry? It is the internet. Using this infrastructure, companies can reach out to billions of customers using a web page. It can sell millions using the computer. The Philippines is now entering this period of maturity. Last year, billions of pesos of transactions were performed on-line. In the years to come, it is expected to be a hundred-fold as internet becomes more available to everyone. At that point, the inevitable will happen. Physical stores, brick & mortar shops, and shopping malls will become obsolete. Ecommerce is the new means to become successful. We would like to share with you this once in a life-time opportunity. The current e-commerce industry in the Philippines is dominated by foreigners – Lazada & Zalora is owned by the British, AliExpress is owned by the Chinese, E-Bay Philippines is owned by the Americans, Sulit and Ayos Dito is owned by the Singaporeans. There is no Filipino company that stands in the forefront to compete with them and bring justice to the Filipino consumers. But we want to change that. This is our invitation for you to set-up a freenchise of our on-line network. If the spelling looks interesting, it’s because of our desire to express that e-commerce is a FREE FRANCHISE. Everyone should have access to it, and everybody should take full advantage of the system to make them successful. Sense’s freenchise is simply a retail outlet, a chain store, or a franchise if you would like to call it that way. The greatest advantage is you have access all of the products we sell – phones, tablets, groceries, real estate, cars, vehicles, and a lot more. Sense™ is a virtual network of entrepreneurs with the aim to bring Filipino products to the worldwide market. By classification, Sense is an Information Technology and E-Commerce company. It started in 2013 as a direct selling company specializing in the retail of food supplements. It evolved to become a retailer of grocery items, consumer electronics, and provider of e-services. The company’s aim is to tap off-line sellers, empower e-commerce entrepreneurs, and establish a national presence in every Filipino neighborhood while helping everyone to earn. Sense employs its marketing strategy based on the concept of leverage marketing and narrowcasting initiatives. The company has majority of its operation conducted on-line through its official website with the aid of social media channels like Facebook and Twitter. The influx of numerous on-line stores in the Philippines caused major problems in the consumer landscape. Most of their offerings, products, and services are sub-standard, customer service is poor, delivery schedules are late, websites are unattractive, and the presence of a win-it attitude is absent. It is dominated by foreign owned business cohorts at the expense of Filipino companies losing most of the market share. Thus, customers are left with no option but to bear with the mediocrity and entrepreneurs earn nothing from this set-up. Sense’s objective is to change this landscape by empowering Filipino entrepreneurs. The goal is to be the best ecommerce platform and number one Filipino company through offering unique products, rise in the total revenue of purchases, establishment of long-term business partnerships, anchored on the policy of “customer-first”. What is a Sense Freenchise? A retail store, a chain store, or franchises are the best description for Sense’s innovative business solution. Freenchise is the shortcut for FREE FRANCHISE with the following objective: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. To help entrepreneurs earn through partnership in moving their products and services; To establish a strong marketing network and help in efficient product movement To spread e-commerce awareness in the entire Philippines; To provide cost-efficient products and services to the general public; To provide alternative means of income to franchise owners; Sense Freenchise (store) is a national retail system that follows a firm structure for sales movement: The Sense Shop Philippines Mobile: +6390 8607 8324, +6394 3405 1770 Telefax: +6334 435 1770 Mail: [email protected] FB: facebook.com/sensenetwork Twitter: @thesenseshop L4, B3, Seaside Avenue, Tangub, Bacolod City PH 6100 www.senseshop.biz, www.phweebly.weebly.com Version 2 - Page 6 of 15 National Freenchise North Luzon Area South Luzon Area Visayas Area Western Mindanao Area Eastern Mindanao Area 5 Regional Stores 3 Regional Stores 3 Regional Stores 3 Regional Stores 3 Regional Stores 17 Provincial Stores 16 Provincial Stores 16 Provincial Stores 13 Provincial Stores 14 Provincial Stores 73 District Stores 47 District Stores 46 District Stores 30 District Stores 28 District Stores 365 Town and City Stores 329 Town and City Stores 409 Town and City Stores 284 Town and City Stores 171 Town and City Stores 10,384 Barangay Stores 8,940 Barangay Stores 11,444 Barangay Stores 6,453 Barangay Stores 3,630 Barangay Stores Sales Representatives Sales Representatives Sales Representatives Sales Representatives Sales Representatives It is divided into eight levels, each registered to a qualified freenchise owner. Why did Sense establish the FREENCHISE system? We love our country and we cannot afford to see our fellowmen bear poor customer service and products with no value from other e-commerce stores in the market. This problem is a result of inefficiency brought about by various foreign-backed e-commerce stores. The FREENCHISE is Sense’s answer to CUSTOMER FREEDOM because customers deserve the best. Here are the common problems in the current Philippine e-commerce space: 1. Poor Customer Service. Filipino entrepreneurs do not put much attention on “emotion”. They do not build rapport. Those who ran the sites are not well-versed when it comes to customer service. Their agents are not trained to satisfy the needs of the customer and manipulate their emotions so that they become a loyal fan base of the company. Deliveries are late and customers are uninformed. Agents use more scape goats and alibis instead of going the extra mile for the customer. Support channels are not friendly, and not receptive, sometimes redundant and not functional at all. After sales support is worse and customer service is relatively very poor and under evaluated. 2. They do not innovate. These e-commerce sites are contented with what they have thinking that they got the best service in place. If innovation is present, it is insignificant. The innovation is not centered on addressing the customer’s need but rather on petty little things that complicate and adulterate the entire web space creating confusion. Most possess the “follow the leader” attitude instead of being the leader who dominates the market space. Lengthy ordering and stiff analysis of business needs. Orders usually require e-mail validation and a lot of check-out which a lot of people hate. Only a few people actually open their mail. Some people don’t even have e-mail and it may take some time before internet penetration in the Philippines become significant. 4. Customers spend much and they do not earn. E-commerce is about spending and was never utilized to help small and medium entrepreneurs. Consumers spend much and earn nothing in return. It is a one sided affair where the real winner is the e-commerce company and the dealers get the mere spill over. 5. Websites are overly styled. Almost all sites do not apply the rule of aesthetics and bombard the customer with a lot of information they do not need. This results to customers being diluted with a lot of unnecessary things. Benefits of the FREENCHISE system: 1. Savings and Income as a Freenchise Owner. Sense offers the best value for money with our products and services. Members can earn commissions from direct selling. Malls will eventually die, and the next big thing is the use of internet for shopping. The Philippines is transitioning from traditional “brick & mortar” market composed of physical stores, buildings, and malls into a more efficient system known as “e-commerce”. Unlike traditional physical stores, the cost for setting up an on-line store is minimal and the market reach is extensive.
