PITCHER`S TUMBLING AND CHEER
PITCHER'S TUMBLING AND CHEER
NEWSLETTER - JUNE 2015
New coach to the PTC staff team: HALLI RUSSELL
Summer
Classes have
begun!
We have
started our
High school &
Jr high school
cheer prep
class. We are
excited for
everyone who
is starting early
to prepare for
spring 2016!
Halli Russell
started her
t
tumbling career
career a
at the age of 7
with Darlene Pit with Darlene
Pitcher
Pitcher. Halli
quickly excelled and Darlene sent
her to train with Jim Aamondt with
Tumbling and Trampoline of Utah.
At age 9, Halli began competing
nationally and by 12 had made the
United States World Power
Tumbling team competing in Paris,
France where she took 2nd Place.
Later she would place 3rd in
Moscow, Russia and 4th in Beijing,
China.
Halli began her coaching career at
16 teaching tumbling in the gym
she trained with. At 21, Halli was
asked to run a power tumbling
facility for the Pro- Fitness Center
and within a year had
formed a competition
team. Upon having her 2nd
child, she decided to take a
break and spend more time
with her two young boys.
It wasn't long and she got
the itch to open her own
facility, Edge Sports and
Learning Center in 1999.
Halli had many
accomplishments
developing young athletes
such as MiKell Pitcher to
make Regional All-star
teams and compete
nationally. Jeff Diamond
made the United States
Worlds team competing in
Quebec, Canada. Halli
introduced Ogden and
surrounding areas to
competitive All-star cheer.
After being away for a
year and a half, she could
not stay away from
something she loves to
much- teaching the youth.
She is very excited to be
with PTC and looks forward
to teaching in such a great
facility!
Halli is a proud mother of
3 boys Kaden, Cody, and CJ.
She is married to Ken
Russell and soon to be
proud grandparents to a
beautiful little girl.

If you have been with PTC during the summer months before, you know
it is tradition to be a part of the local parades. We understand that the
summer months can be hectic with vacations and family activities, but if
you would like to participate in the Uintah Days Parade please arrive at
10 AM on Saturday, June 13 in
your PTC shirts. If you need a
shirt, please see Darlene.
This parade is popular for
having more participants than
Parade Line up
spectators, but you can still
bring candy to throw. You have
the option of cheering, but you
can also bring your bike or
scooter if you like! Parade ends
at Valley Nursery.
Come and participate with us!
