Exhibitor Information
Eligibility:
A dog must be six (6) months of age or older to participate in tracking events.
As used in these regulations, the word “dog” refers to either sex. Dogs with a
PAL (Purebred Alternative Listing), or ILP (Indefinite Listing Privilege), number
must be spayed or neutered in order to compete. Note: Effective 01/01/14 –
Dogs that have been listed with AKC Canine Partners, that have been spayed
or neutered, may participate providing their listing number has been listed on
the entry form and the test-giving club is holding an all breed test and is
offering participation for dogs enrolled in the AKC Canine Partners program.
Listen to local radio or TV in case of inclement weather.
NOTICE: The test may be cancelled in the event of extreme weather conditions.
Hospitality: A light breakfast and lunch will be provided on the day of the test.
Test information:
The Tests may be held in an area composed of old overgrown fields and fallow
farm fields. Cover can vary and fields may be quite wet, dependent upon weather.
Ohio spring weather is unpredictable and can range from warm and humid to cold
and snowing. Dress accordingly.
A dog may continue to participate in the TD test after it has earned the titles
TD, TDU, TDX, or VST. Dogs not holding any tracking dog title will be given
priority for entry in the test by the tracking test secretary. A statement to this
effect will appear in the premium list.
Worker Draw:
A worker draw will be used for this test in accordance with the parameters set
forth in Chapter 1, Section 17d of the Tracking Regulations. Two tracks will be set
aside for workers who have worked both days of a QCDTC Tracking event within
the last 2 years. Entries eligible for this draw must be identified on the entry form.
The TDX test is for dogs that have earned the TD or TDU title. A dog may
continue to participate in this test after it has earned the TDX title. However,
the tracking test secretary will give priority to entries for dogs that do not hold a
TDX title. A statement to this effect will appear in the premium list.
Alternant Entries:
When the advertised limit has been drawn, all remaining entries, subject to Ch. 1,
Sec. 12, shall be assigned a position on the Alternate List, corresponding to the
order they are drawn. In the event an accepted entry is absent on the day of the
Test, it shall be the responsibility of the Test Secretary to determine if any
alternates are present and decide according to their previously assigned position
on the Alternate List which of such entries shall participate.
Hotels near Test Sites (Check pet policy before booking)
Combined Tests Exchange Policy.
The exchange policy will be in effect with the available tracks being filled first with
untitled dogs followed by titled dogs. If the limit for entries is not reached in one test
at a combined TD, TDX test and the limit for entries is exceeded in the other test,
the number of tracks may be exchanged, up to the day of plotting up to a maximum
of twelve (12) TDs and six (6) TDXs.
Entry Fee Refund:
Those who decline being placed on the Alternate List shall have their entry fees
returned. Alternates who are not given the opportunity to run a track shall have
their entry fees returned. If for any reason a dog making the draw cannot run, the
entry fee will be refunded PROVIDED an alternate competes in their place at the
same level (TD for TD dog, TDX for TDX dog).
Bitches in season may participate. Please keep bitches in season in your vehicle
and notify the Test Secretary upon your arrival.
