WORLD OF

BIGGER AND

EVER
World of Coffee is Europe’s greatest coffee gathering and one
of the world’s pre-eminent coffee events, bringing thousands
of coffee professionals and enthusiasts together over three
days for a celebration of speciality coffee. The event is owned
and organised by the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe
(SCAE), the membership association for the speciality coffee
industry that represents the interests of 3,000 members
around the world.
2015’s Nordic World of Coffee event promises to be the
greatest show in the event’s 15-year history, bringing over
5,000 visitors to Gothenburg for the three-day exhibition. The
city of Gothenburg is excited to welcome the speciality coffee
community to this most picturesque city, in the heart of the
Nordic region.

WHY
GOTHENBURG?
Midsummer Nights’ Dream
In 2015, SCAE will bring the speciality coffee industry’s best suppliers
and operators directly to the doorstep of the planet’s most prolific
coffee drinkers. No other people in the world drink more coffee
per capita than the denizens of Finland, Sweden and Norway and,
with such a widespread passion for coffee, it is little wonder that
the Nordic industry has established itself as a leading trendsetter in
global coffee culture.
With its central location at the heart of the region, Gothenburg is the
perfect host city for the Nordic World of Coffee, bringing discerning
coffee lovers from across Scandinavia and around the world together
for a three-day celebration of coffee during Midsummer Week.
Their thirst for coffee trends and desire to learn about the latest
innovations in coffee make them the ideal audience for Europe’s
biggest coffee event. As SCAE’s largest ever exhibition, World of
Coffee 2015 is one midsummer party not to be missed.
WHAT
TO SEE IN
GOTHENBURG
5 Places to See in Gothenburg
As chosen by Goteborg Tourist Board:
1. Have fun at Liseberg – head-spinning rides, carousels and concerts are an
essential part of summer in Gothenburg
2. Coffee in Haga – this charming quarter has a wonderful selection of cafes and
small shops. You might like to try a giant cinnamon bun on Haga Nygata
3. Take a waterside city tour – this classic tour with a Paddan canal boat winds
around the moat and canals of the city
4. Buy shrimps at Feskekorka – the “Fish Church” is the fish market hall
completed in 1874 to a design by the city architect, Viktor von Gegerfeldt.
And yes, it does actually look like a church
5. Sample some local cuisine – visit one of Gothenburg’s restaurants.
Seafood is a real speciality here
