KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Texas-based restaurant Zoës Kitchen is coming to the Country Club
Plaza. Anticipating a March 2015 opening, the 2,778-square-foot restaurant at 100 Ward
Parkway will offer a distinct menu of Mediterranean-inspired dishes served with warm, Southern
hospitality. Customers will enjoy meals that are healthy and taste great.
“We are excited to share our love for wholesome, fresh, Mediterranean dishes with Kansas
Citians,” says Michelle Dean, Regional Operator of Zoës Kitchen. “At Zoës, our mission is to
deliver goodness from the inside out. We provide nutritious, high quality, made-from-scratch
meals, and we look forward to delivering Zoës goodness to the Kansas City community.”
Zoës Kitchen was inspired by founder Zoë Cassimus’ family recipes. Cassimus opened her first
Zoës Kitchen in Homewood, Al., in 1995. She extended her love of cooking and entertaining to
her family and friends through the Zoës Kitchen concept, which now has 131 locations
throughout the south and southeast coast.
The Zoës Kitchen menu has stayed true to its Mediterranean roots, serving an abundance of
fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh herbs, olive oil and lean proteins. Their unique cooking
methods stand out from other fast-casual restaurants, with grilling functioning as the primary
cooking method. Each menu item is hand-washed, cut and prepared from scratch.
Zoës Kitchen menu items are comprised of fresh produce and lean proteins that are
predominantly preservative and additive free. Signature dishes include salads, chicken kabobs,
chicken rollups and hummus. Zoës Kitchen also offers a variety of gluten-free, vegetarian and
vegan options. Zoës is committed to serving food of exceptional quality and using fresh
ingredients prepared daily from original recipes – perfect for folks that value eating real,
unprocessed foods but whose busy lives limit their time in the kitchen. There are no fryers or
microwaves at Zoës.

Zoës Kitchen offers family-friendly-priced food, with entrees ranging from $6.99-$8.99. It also
offers two options for Mediterranean family meals – one that serves three to five and another
that serves four to six. Zoës Kitchen serves gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options as well.
Zoës Kitchen is set to open on the Country Club Plaza in March 2015 at 100 Ward Parkway.
