Professor Mordechai R. Kramer
Director, Pulmonary Institute Rabin Medical Center
Professor of Medicine Sackler faculty of medicine Tel Aviv University.
Prof Kramer has graduated Hadassah medical center in Jerusalem in 1980.
After serving as a military physician in the Israeli Army he completed his Internal
Medicine residency in Shaarei Zedek hospital in Jerusalem in 1984 and completed his
pulmonary fellowship In the University of Miami Florida in 1988. He then went to
Stanford for a lung transplantation fellowship in 1989-1990.
Prof Kramer started the lung transplant program in Israel in Hadassah medical school
in 1990 when the first lung transplantation was performed. From 1997 he is the
director of the pulmonary institute in Rabin medical center and in charge of the
pulmonary transplantation medical program where more than 350 transplants were
performed. He has published more than 250 peer reviewed papers and serves as a
full professor of medicine in Tel Aviv University medical School.
