POSITIVE MOTION is a dance exercise program that
inspires, motivates, and encourages people of all ages to make
fitness a part of their daily lives in a fun and creative way.
With this program, creator Patrick Kasper aims to educate and
inform people of all ages about the benefits of living in Positive
Motion, including improved health, self esteem, team building,
and leading happier and fuller lives. Rick has shared his
message throughout the world through fitness classes, seminars,
corporate appearances, as well as features on television, in
magazines, commercials, newspapers, and radio.

It’s part hiking, part orienteering, part scavenger

The 744J/624 Loader is designed to maximize
productivity in moving dirt and debris from
construction and waste management sites. They
were designed to keep debris out of the machine,

The Case IH 8010 Combine has a grain tank capacity
of 10,500 liters and 405 horsepower. It weighs
up to 36,000 pounds, and can be used to harvest
multiple crops.
FUN FACTS: In colonial times, most American’s
scratched out a living by tilling the soil. A few of
these early Americans had a single draft animal
to pull a crude plow, but most did their work with
hand tools. During the first half of the 19th century,
hundreds of inventors began building, tinkering, and
experimenting with machines in hopes of making
their work easier. By the mid-20th century, farmers
had abandoned the use of horses for farming, except
in a few localized areas, replacing them with tractors
and other equipment.

These vehicles have been ridden in by movie stars,
musicians, and politicians. All Occasions Limousine
also gives the red carpet treatment for weddings, proms,
parties, and concerts.
FUN FACTS: A Limousine is a longer luxury
car. The chassis may have been extended by the
manufacturer or by an independent coach builder.
Traditionally black or white in color, limousines are
most commonly driven by chauffeurs and, until the
mid-1990’s, were most often associated with the
wealthy. There are three types of limousines:
traditional, stage, and exotic.

This is a specialized, professional ceremonial
vehicle with a very limited production. All coach/
hearse builders are certified by General Motors and
the Ford Motor Company. Specialized vehicles
have been produced for this purpose for a long
time. Hearses were originally horse-drawn, but
motorized examples began to be produced in 1909 in
the United States and became more widely accepted
in the 1920’s. It has many built in and somewhat
hidden compartments!
FUN FACTS: There are two common styles of
hearse bodywork. The older style is the limousine
style, which has narrow pillars and lots of glass.
The landau style has a heavily-padded leather or
vinyl roof and long blind rear quarters decorated
with large metal S-shaped bars designed to resemble
those used to lower the tops on some horse-drawn
coaches. In the United States, it is common practice
for the windows to be curtained, while in the United
Kingdom the windows are normally left unobscured.
Hearses resemble station wagons strictly because of
the shape of the rear ends.

Used in responding to fires and medical disasters,
this fire truck costs $491,000. Special training is
required to be a firefighter. Occupations include:
firefighters, engine operators, maintenance personnel,

gallons of water and pump 1,500 gallons of water
per minute.

HMMWV Avenger
The HMMWV (military Humvee), equipped with
an Avenger, is a lightweight, highly mobile, and
transportable surface-to-air missile/gun weapon
system. The Avenger is designed to counter hostile
cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and
low-flying, high-speed, fixed-wing aircraft and
helicopters attacking or transiting friendly
airspace.
FUN FACTS: In the 1970’s, the U.S. Army
concluded that the militarized civilian trucks in
use no longer satisfied their requirements. In 1977,
Lamborghini developed the Cheetah model to
attempt to meet Army contract specifications. In
1979, the Army drafted final specifications for
a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle
or HMMWV. In July of that year, AM General (a
subsidiary of American Motors Corporation) began
preliminary design work, and less than a year later,
the first prototype, the M998, was in testing.
In June 1981, the Army awarded AM General a
contract for development of several more prototype
vehicles to be delivered to the U.S. government
for another series of tests. The company was later
awarded the initial production contract for 55,000
HMMWVs to be delivered in 1985. HMMWVs
first saw combat in Operation Just Cause, the
U.S. invasion of Panama in 1989. The HMMWV
has become the vehicular backbone of U.S. forces
around the world.

Used to regularly patrol the streets of our city,
these specialized vehicles can be seen from far and
near when the lights and sirens are going. Each car
contains a radio, computer, video camera, and
additional weapons if needed. You should always
pull over to the side of the road when you see
flashing lights!
FUN FACTS: Education requirements range from
a high school diploma to a college degree or higher.
Job opportunities in most local police departments
are excellent for qualified individuals. Applicants
with college training in police science or military
police experience will have the best opportunities.
People depend on police officers and detectives to
protect their lives and property. Law enforcement
officers perform these duties in a variety of ways,
depending on the size and type of their organization.
In most jurisdictions, they are expected to exercise
authority when necessary, whether on or off duty.
Police and detectives pursue and apprehend
individuals who break the law and then issue
citations or give warnings. A large proportion of
their time is spent writing reports and maintaining
records of incidents they encounter. Most police
officers patrol their jurisdictions and investigate any
suspicious activity they notice. Detectives perform
investigative duties, such as gathering facts and
collecting evidence.
The daily activities of police and detectives differ
depending on their occupational specialty, such as
police officer, game warden, or detective. Regardless
of job duties or location, police officers and
detectives at all levels must write reports and
maintain meticulous records that will be needed if
they testify in court.

This tow truck is equipped with a flatbed for hauling
vehicles. It can also be called a rollback or a slide,
because the entire back of the truck is fitted with a bed

Kenworth Semi-Truck
These large trucks can be owned by businesses who
employ drivers or by individuals who use them to earn
their living. They are expensive to own and operate.
FUN FACTS: A semi-truck can also be referred
to as an 18-wheeler, big rig, semi-trailer truck, or
tractor-trailer. In North America, semi-trucks
usually have 3 axles, the front or “steer” axle having
two wheels, and each of the two rear “drive” axles
having a pair of “dualies” (double) wheels on each side.
The cargo trailer usually has two “tandem” axles at
the rear, each of which has dual wheels, or 8 wheels on
the trailer. Many trailers are equipped with moveable
tandems that can be set to balance the weight of the
trailer to stay within legal limits.
The fuel tank capacity of a semi-truck can be anywhere
from 50 to 200 gallons per tank depending on the
purpose of the truck, such as delivering in town or
across the country. Most semi’s have a tank on each

Power Up To Read! is a reading program that
targets 4th and 5th graders as they transition from
“learning to read” to “reading to learn.” This
program helps students build literacy skills, improve

for reading and learning through an interactive,

The Kids on the Block are a cast of educational
puppets that star in skits designed to teach children
subjects of social concern, such as bullying and
school safety. Since 1977, Kids on the Block has
become an international phenomenon with troups in

the Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Department
of Agriculture. Researchers at the Center study the
effects of foreign chemicals in animals; explore new

and insect pests; enhance wheat and oat quality;
improve storage characteristics of potatoes and
